  1. I 100% agree with you that software gets bugs, they eventually get fixed, game content changes over time, etc. The problem I have is around setting and managing expectations. With the amount of work that was done over the past several months since release, this game feels much more like an extended beta or an Early Access game. Which would be fine, if that was made clear. But the game presents itself as a finished product, and sells content as if it were a finished product. Or, rather more appropriately for an episodic content game like this, the game presents itself as having a polished team & polished set of processes behind it that can create and deliver future content. And seeing multiple QA/QC mishaps over the past several months, the delay of AD3, and the delay of AD4 (is it July yet?), makes me believe that the content creation & delivery processes are far from polished. Obsidian Entertainment has some very solid experience developing cRPGs; including developing episodic / expansion content for some of those games. This isn't their first rodeo. But it certainly doesn't feel that way.
  2. Correct. But I do equate this to a friend owing you money; and watching that friend proceed to go out and buy a bunch of new clothes they don't need, rather than pay you back.
  3. I'd advise you to quit this game, and forget it ever existed. Believe me, I **LOVED** this game before the latest patch. But it's clear that the game developers simply do not prioritize fixing bugs, or delivering promised content. Instead, they release garbage like a new UI that nobody asked for, and cosmetic garbage like dice skins. I've accepted that this isn't a story of a rag-tag team of indie developers just trying to find their stride before they really start delivering content & bugfixes. I've accepted that shoddy bug-laden releases and M.I.A. content are what we can expect in the future, because that's exactly what they've given us in the past.

  8. I am absolutely ****ing FURIOUS at the developers of this game. I've been very supportive of this game, from the time it was released. To date, I've spent $61.95 across content packs and in-game gold (even when I have the gold in-account to buy that content as a F2P unlock), because I believe in supporting developers of F2P games by paying them for their work. I've spoken positively about this game to my friends, and whatever limited time I've had here on this forum. I didn't complain when AD3 was delayed. I didn't complain when AD4 is STILL unreleased (is it still on track for July?) I didn't complain when I had to re-roll my Level 19 Quest characters, because of missing card & power feats from dead characters,. I didn't complain when I couldn't progress through my Quest, due to a game-stopping spell-reward bug. I didn't complain when I had to re-roll my party AGAIN (this time, level 36 characters) because of yet another game bug. I didn't complain when the Android update last night rendered the game unplayable due to UI issues. Why? Because I figure the developers are working on this unpolished gem of a game, just trying to find their stride before they really start pushing out the quality updates and content. But when I wake up this morning and download the latest patch (that fixes the Android UI issues from last night), and saw the new UI, I AM ****ING FURIOUS. Why am I upset? The new UI is something that I don't ever recall reading ANYBODY asking for. I know I certainly didn't. The previous UI may have been inconvenient for some, but the old UI wasn't game-breaking. Actual game-breaking bugs are still unaddressed (no rewards for dead characters) Actual game-breaking lack of content (AD4, AD5, AD6) is STILL nowhere to be seen. The new UI is ****. It's ABSOLUTE ****. Card text is obscured. Buttons aren't aligned, because nobody bothered testing the UI layout after some developer just moved a "Zoom" slider from 100% --> 125%. And I have to bring up that stupid left-hand tray on EVERY ROLL to determine location rules, closing rules, remaining cards in deck (so I can evaluate how much risk I should accept when deciding to not/play blessings or weapon discards). Has anybody in the UI team actually thought that it's a problem when you've INCREASED the number of steps a player must take on EVERY SINGLE IN-GAME INTERACTION? Or that it's a problem when you're introducing a new UI (and new features / buttons) when the team obviously has QA/QC issues for their releases? THIS is the kind of bull**** that warrants developer time? If you have a Product Manager on this game, s/he should be FIRED for incompetence; for prioritizing absolutely useless, unwanted, features onto this game rather than work on fixing bugs and the broken QA/QC testing process. It's clear that fixing game-breaking bugs or releasing content that has BEEN PRE-PURCHASED is not a priority. It's clear that releasing useless features like this absolute **** UI, and the absolute **** QA/QC process that allowed bugs to slip by into patches MULTIPLE TIMES is the way that Obsidian chooses to interact with their community. Delete my account. Delete my cloud saves. I'm done with this game, and will be doing whatever I can through Google Play & my credit card to recover the portion of my Rise of the Runelords content pack purchase that I can, on the basis that promised content was never delivered. And I invite anyone who feels the same to join me. Because this latest CLUSTER **** of a patch has turned this $62-customer into someone who will now advise that people NEVER spend a single ****ing cent on this game.
  9. Spend your gold on chests. Characters and adventure packs should be purchased with money. Yes, you could grind gold, save up, and get all of the content in the game without spending any real money. But the game developers don't work for free, and create games like this just to see how many people can get as much content for free as they can. If you like the game, buy something and send some money to Obsidian to support their work. You aren't FORCED to spend any real money. But do it anyway, because it's the right thing to do. ---------------------------------------------------------- Edit: I'd advise you to quit this game, and forget it ever existed. I'd invite you to do the same. Because it's not going to get better. Spend your money towards F2P developers that don't deliver absolute dog**** when it comes to buggy releases, missing content (AD4? Is it July yet?); and instead spend their development time on useless features that NOBODY asks for like dice skins and an obviously untested & unpolished magnified smartphone UI.
  10. 99 little bugs in the code 99 little bugs... Take one down, patch it around 128 little bugs in the code
  11. Ugh. Can we get some kind of character editor, or the choice to just create a Quest mode character of a certain level (and have the option to apply all unapplied level bonuses)? This is the SECOND time that I've had to reset high level Quest characters (level 25+) characters because of some bug, and the THIRD time I've had to start Quest Mode characters from level 1: 1) One character dies, but rest of party completes mission. 2) This bug, that somehow loads story mode saves into Quest Mode 3) If I decide to do so, I would start new Quest Mode characters today; possibly to get reset again in the future because of some bug. As much as I love your guys' game, I'm really f**king tired of restarting my Quest Mode characters from scratch because of a software bug on your end. I've dumped dozens and dozens of hours into that task already. And at this point, I've just about given up on Quest Mode, because it takes SO friggin long to get up to level 30 (where you get your Class Specialization, and get to unlock Tier 3 cards). And in all likelihood (given past experience), I will need to reset THOSE characters as well; especially since there are so many outstanding bugs** that need to get resolved. Can we get some kind of character editor, or the choice to just create a Quest mode character of a certain level (and have the option to apply all unapplied level bonuses)? Even as a one-time or limited-time-window option after the release of a new patch that requires resetting characters?

  13. Regarding Quest Mode- Does anybody know if difficulty (Normal / Heroic / Legendary) makes a difference towards Quest mode rewards? Does it give more XP, higher-tier loot, etc? Does it affect which location(s) or monsters are shuffled in? Or does it just add scenario rules and movement restriction, for people who personally enjoy the challenge?
  14. Related question... does the number of copies in a vault affect your probability of finding it as loot? For example, let's suppose I have 1,000 copies of Card A, but only 1 copy of Cards B & C. Does that make it significantly more likely for me to encounter Card A? Or does the number of copies only affect how many duplicates could potentially be owned by Experienced Characters at one time?
  15. Spot! Thanks for the info! Everyone was getting antsy... posting every hour asking for status update. But it's been quiet since then.... probably because everyone's playing! Enjoy the long weekend, obsidian!
