  1. So I was playing Attack on Sandpoint, and one of my character's encountered the villain. My characters attempted the various close checks, when something happened at the Swallowtail Festival location The close check for Swallowtail Festival is "Defeat or Acquire the next card in the deck...." So, Amiri encountered the next card - turned out to be the henchman goblin, Then I also encountered the next card (it was a Longsword) which I successfully acquired, and then my location permanently closed. Is this a technical problem, or driven by the rules (since the goblin henchmen has the line "if you succeed in defeating this card, you may immediately attempt to close the location")
  2. That would seem a likely place for the problem to occur. Hopefully the Obsidian team will find this and fix it
  3. Ok - mine does not work. I've just tested it, and can provide pictures. I can get the Outsider variation to work, but not the Undead variation. So, something is clearly wrong still with it Ok, here are pictures (I ended up making them into a single quad chart style picture) I was playing Undead Uprising on Legendary (I got fortified position and Blood in the Sand as the wildcards) First picture (upper left) is my Kyra build - you can see I have selected Purge Undead power for Kyra Next picture (upper right) - I encounter a Plague Zombie with Kyra, and plan to attack it with my slaying ax (note that I have 1 card in my discard pile) Next picture (lower left) - I am forced to encounter a Zombie minion, which again I use my slaying ax (note that I still have 1 card in my discard pile) Final picture (lower right) - I have eliminated both zombies, but I STILL have 1 card in my discard pile. In short, it doesn't seem to work for my Kyra. I've seen it work for enemies with the outsider trait, but not undead
  4. It's part of a known issue for all forms of healing. I forget if the community nailed down a specific cause yet, but sometimes healing just stops working until restart the app/scenario. Last I knew, all of the healing powers and cards usually work just fine. However, there is some unknown player behavior that somehow breaks all abilities to move cards from your discard pile to your deck. I think the most recent theory was that certain "off-turn" actions like having background characters use their healing abilities or other spells might be a cause. Fortunately, the bug doesn't wreck your game save or anything. The worst-case is that you'll have to forfeit or play through the scenario without healing abilities. What about Kyra's Purge Undead trait? Are we ever gonna see that work?
  5. I'd say that's true no matter what level you are fighting for. I would also try to avoid having spell casters as my primary fighters for Kazroug. At this point, the only thing I need is to do The Road through Xin-Shalast. Gonna need to think carefully
  6. So, I've had this happen 2 times, where I am playing The Road Through Xin-Shalast (Standard difficulty). I meet the a Runelord Warden, and fight him, and kill him. I then go to close the location, which summons the dragon, and then he does damage, and then after he does damage, all the cards at the 2nd location disappear. Example I am currently playing with Lini, Ezren, Amiri, Lem, Harsk, and Merisiel (in that order). It's Lem's turn, and he enountered the Runelord Warden at the Temple. He fights him, and defeats him. He goes to close the location, which summons Ghlorofaex. Ghlorofaex goes to visit Amiri at Heptaric Locus, who takes damage (it seemed, but I am not sure, that they bypassed the check and just did 2 damage to Amiri). The game then empties Heptaric Locus (but does not close it), and then goes back to Lem, who then successfully closes the Temple. As I've said, I've had this happen a previous time, it was with this same group, and in that situation, it was Merisiel at the Guard Tower that got emptied out. FWIW - I am using an LG G4, Andriod version 6.0.
  7. So, I made it through Assault on the Pinnacle. I believe my final team consisted of Valeros, Kyra, Seoni, and Lem. My next target ended up being Into the Eye. For this, I ended up using just Valeros, and for that I used a 2 part strategy. First, I made sure he had some reveal items that would cover damage (Ring of Superior protect was my primary), multiple armors that could easily absorb high levels of damage of any type (for the before you act checks), and as many Slayer weapons as I could load him up with - those took out the henchmen very nicely, combined with the Revelation Quill, I was able to place the big bad at the bottom. And then the Burning Glaive worked really nice for the final battle (yes, thank you for letting me borrow it Karzoug) Just finished Cabin in the Snow, using only Lem (of all people). I really like him with a Slayer's Bow, and his solo performance. And a few Augries.
  8. Well, I have that scenario beaten to a pulp. Now I only have Heroic and Legendary on the other scenarios. Wait - why am I trying to do this again? If people have some more specific suggestions, I am very interested to hear them.
  9. Thanks, NSR That whirlwind looks damn awesome - want that to replace Kyra's Holy light. Question - is the Cyphermage an "on your check" or "at your location" or at any check? As for the Unity, I only lack Sarenrae Unity of Cayden Cailean Discard to add 1 die to any check Discard to ad 2 dice to any non-combat Strength or Constitution check; if the check is attempted by another character at your location, add another die Discard this card to explore your location After you play this card, if the top card of the blessings discard pile has Cayden Cailean trait, recharge this card instead of discarding it. Unity of Iomedae Discard to add 1 die to any check Discard to ad 2 dice to any Charisma non-combat check; if the check is attempted by another character at your location, add another die Discard this card to explore your location After you play this card, if the top card of the blessings discard pile has Iomedae trait, recharge this card instead of discarding it. Unity of Lamashtu Discard to add 1 die to any check Bury to ad 2 dice to any check to defeat a monster; if the check is attempted by another character at your location, add another die Discard this card to explore your location After you play this card, if the top card of the blessings discard pile has Lamashtu trait, recharge this card instead of discarding it. (I kinda assume Unity of Sarenrae would be the same type) Are we allowed to post screenshots of the cards? If so, I'll post pictures of the Unity cards I have
  10. Can you provide pictures, or at least stats, for the other cards? I am just really curious about these cards
  11. Thanks for the info, but it's not the names I am looking for. I wanna know the stats of those cards I listed (I already have the names using the trick you mentioned). I have copies of the other cards, so I don't need them. But I'd love to see pictures of those 9 cards, or at least the stats of those cards.
  12. I have spent quite a few hours going after cards, or spending money on treasure chests, but there are still legendary cards I have yet to get. I was wondering if we could put together a compilation of legendary cards. The cards I am missing are Brooch of sheilding Healing Poultice Shovel sleepless detective Cyphermage dragon Smiter whirlwind slaying sword slaying razor I can provide any of the others, if people are interesting in providing these (Or if someone else has already done this, please point me in the direction of where)
  13. I would say the best place to do restocking is either 3-3 (Here Comes the Flood) or 6-4 (Assault on the Pinnacle). I use the former to go after low level stuff (Like whenever Sajan burns his potion of healing, and needs it replaced) by using Black Maag and Village House, and 6-4 If its a super high level that I need to go digging for.
  14. I don't know the staff of thunder - I don't even see it in my vault. I have other staffs, but not a staff of thunder. What are it's stats? Is it an item, or a weapon? Is it loot?
  15. So, I have decided that I want to try and get the Liberated Blue Dragon (IE beat adventure 6 on legendary), and i suspect I am going to regret this more than the Blessing of Thassilonian Virtues I am starting with Assault on the Pinnacle, because I suspect I'll need the Runeforge weapons to succeed (and I lose that when I finish Into the Eye - at least, that is my assumption) My potential team could consist of Valeros, Kyra, Seoni, Sajan, Seelah, and Lem. Any suggestions on strategy? Who should I include, or not? where should I start, party size, etc? Here is a detailed breakdown of my team. If card list would help, let me know Valeros (Noble) Skill improvements Strength- +4 Constitution +2 Powers - weapons master Handsize - 5 Superior Teamwork Weapon Supremacy Close Quarters Miraculous strength Cards list 8 weapons, 4 armor, 4 items, 2 allies, 4 blessings Kyra Skill improvements strengh +3 Wisdom +3 Powers - exorcist all proficiencies Hand size 6 improved heal Improved Enemy Lore and Outsider Lore Purge Undead and outisder Card List 4 weapons, 5 spells, 2 armors, 2 items, 1 ally, 8 blessings Seoni Dexterity +2 Charisma +4 Powers - celestial Sorcerer True Arcane Blast and Acid Blast Magic in the Blood and Magic in the Touch Lady of Graves' Favor Card list Spell - 6 Items - 5 Allies - 5 Blessing - 6 Sajan Skills Dexterity +4 Constitution +2 Powers - Drunken Master Handsize 5 Weapon Proficiency Unarmed Magic and Fiery Strike Improved Dodge Bring Me Another Card List Weapons - 2 item - 6 Allies - 4 Blessing - 10 Seelah Skills Strength +3 Wisdom +3 Powers - Crusader Handsize 5 Crusade and Precise Crusade Improved Inspired Grace and Iomedae's Benediction Enemy Lore Inheritor's Favorite Cards Weapons - 5 Spells - 3 Armor - 4 Allies - 2 Blessing - 8 Lem Skills Dexterity +2 Intelligence +2 Charisma +2 Powers - Virtuoso Hand size 6 Weapons proficiency Superior Bardic Performance and Solo Performance Versatile Performance Bardic Lore The Rose's Favor Cards Weapons - 2 Spells - 6 Armor - 1 Items - 4 Allies - 3 Blessing - 6
  16. Dang - you know, you guys are right. I've played with him for so long using dex based weapons, I figured he would have it...
  17. Merren Unwin seems like a great card for an ally, but I keep having trouble with her I have her assigned to Lem, and I have the Deathbane Light Crossbow+1 assigned to him. Multiple times now, I've gone to use the Crossbow, and gotten my D8 +2 (Lem's current stats in my game) + D8+1 (crossbow stats). I then select Merren, and select recharge, but my dice switch and I have a D8, a D6, and a D4, +2. I would think I should be getting a 2D8 a D6 +4. So, she seems to have problems BTW - if needed My party order is Valeros Kyra Seelah Seoni Sajan Lem I was playing Them Ogres ain't Right at Legendary, and had Driving Rain and Painful Memories. The specific bane we encountered was a Goblin Raid that gave Lem a goblin raider. I am using a LG 4, Android version 6.0
  18. So, I really want to get the Thassilonian virtues blessing. I've managed to completely beat Rimeskull (5.2), and i've at least beat Heroic level Halls of Seduction (5.3) and Into the Runeforge (5.5) But Underneath Sandpoint (5.1) and Thassilonian Sins (5.4) elude me. 5.1 may have to wait for an update, I've decided (or for me to bring in Merisel) since I keep getting stuck in the Hound of Lamashtu recursion loop. But I cannot figure out how to beat 5.4 I know I need to find the right wildcard powers. My current team is Valeros, Lem, Sajan, Seoni, Kyra, and Seelah. I've tried with all 6 multiple times, I've tried with just Seoni, just Kyra, and a team of Kyra/Lem/Valeros Anyone have any suggestions beyond "keep trying"? (Also, if someone has suggestions for some way to avoid the Recursion in 5.1, greatly appriciated)
  19. Into the Runeforge, with Close quarters as the wild card power (same stats as above). It was Sajan's turn, and he was in the shimmering Veils of Pride. He encountered one of the henchmen, and successfully defeated him. Then, on the check to close Lem (in the Ravenous Crypts of Gluttony) played Greater Aid (I think), and Sajan succeeded. However, it closed Lem's location.
  20. Anyone else found a Harpy Monk in their character Deck cards? Currently playing Crow Bait on Legendary difficulty, with the following situation My team for both is Valeros, Kyra, Seelah, Seoni, Sajan, and Lem (and in that order) My phone is a G4, Android version 6 The wildcards are Painful Memories and Retaliation I don't think this is scenario unqiue, because it's happened a few other games, after I encoutered a harpy monk on the scenario where they are henchmen...
  21. Started trying to play through Sins of the Saviors on the heroic level, but I've now found both Underneath Sandpoint and Rimeskull broken, in different fashions My team for both is Valeros, Kyra, Seelah, Seoni, Sajan, and Lem (and in that order) My phone is a G4, Android version 6 When i was playing Underneath Sandpoint, I seemed to run into a recursive loop, where after I was forced to summon a Hound of Lamashtu, I again had to make a Stealth/Perception role (which I failed because I was on Seoni at the time), which caused another Hound to be summoned, which resulted in another steath/perception role (and at that point I quit). I don't know if someone else documented this or not (I thought I saw it, but wasn't sure) Then I tried to play Rimeskull. Valeros found the Stone Head, and defeated it. After defeating it, we took damage, and then he moved, and then his turn ended. Kyra then went, in the closed location, and she was never given the option of moving. And then Seelah, and then Seoni (and again at that point I quit). I may try the rest of Sins, but I am a little nervous
  22. I think there may be a bug between Seoni's powers and the staff of hungry shadows According to her Arcane Blast power "For your combat check, you may discard a card to use your Arcane skill +1d6 +.... and add the Fire trait and the Attack and Magic traits. This counts as playing a spell" Also worth noting - the Staff of Hungry Shadows says "When you play a spell that has the Attack trait, you may reveal this card and discard a spell to add 1d8+2 to your check. If you succeed at the check, recharge a random card from your discard pile" This means that you should be able to activate the staff of Hungry shadows any time you use the Arcane Blast power (since that counts as "playing a spell with the attack trait"), provided you have a spell to discard. But I've played multiple times, and I've never been able to activate it using Arcane Blast. Anyone else observed this? BTW - my current setup for this 6 person team on an android phone, and had the team in the following order Kyra Seoni Valeros Lem Sajan Seelah
