  1. I will add that I just started three new characters in quest mode (all three the new character alternates) and could not figure out how to change the initial deck. I have done it numerous times in story, but quest wouldn't go.
  2. Beating all the difficulty levels unlocks some pretty cool bonus cards. That is a bit of replayability. Not to mention the ability to use those characters that just received that nice loot from the normal mode adventure path. The Liberated Blue Dragon is a great card (final adventure bonus card). Now to actually acquire it on a character....
  3. I have to agree with everything said here. I never really defended anything on the forums. But I did love this game. Things played out exact same for me: App the first day available, full bundle next day. Played a ton at first. Lost a few higher level quest characters. Kind of burned me at that point. I still haven't picked it back up to see the new UI. I figured I'd check it out when the next AD came out. So, I just check out these forums once in a while waiting for that day. But, these couple posts... nailed it.
  4. I feel your pain man. Thank you for posting that 1.0.3.5 hasn't fixed this either. That is good information to know.
  5. This has been reported after that last patch to fix this. I agree, it is definitely not fixed. I'm pretty sure I did exactly what used to cause this before the patch. I created a quest mode party using some experienced characters, then backed out instead of going to the next adventure. Bam, locked characters. I've only had it happen in quest mode. Lost a couple characters in quest mode to this. Link to the other post after the patch, and the one I chimed in on: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/87628-quest-locked-characters/
  6. I was wrong. Blackcloth is letting me add the 1 and stop damage. Maybe all of the reveal armors need to be looked at?
  7. And now all of my locked characters are gone. I'm done with quest mode.
  8. Pretty sure the Blackcloth armor acts exactly like Longshot11 describes that it should. I use it to reveal for the extra 1, and fail the combat check, I am not allowed to use the armor to stop the damage. I remember being confused as to why I couldn't use it, then it clicked, two use the same card on the same check twice is a no-no. I will try to pay more attention next time I fail a check with this armor. Bottom line, pretty sure Longshot11 is correct that this is a bug.
  9. This was supposed to be fixed in the last update. It appears that is not correct. Before the update I had a 15 Marisiel with a level 1 Kyra and level 1 Seoni get locked in quest mode. There were already posts about it, so figured I'd wait for the fix. The "fix" came last patch, but left locked characters locked. I moved on. Now as of an hour ago I had two characters get locked. A 25 Lini and a 26 Marisiel (the new one to replace the old one). I tried some things to get them unlocked, to no avail. Pretty bummed now.....
  10. Minor?? My Seelah disagrees. Kidding. Lots of hard work here, well done. Thank you for helping to hopefully get this stuff fixed, and make the game a better game.
  11. Exactly what i was looking for. Thank you, sir. Maybe as they iron out the kinks, they can then hit a real marketing campaign. We will be the "beta" to help get this in line. I imagine most who are playing anyway, are those who play the tabletop, know how complex this game is, and may be a bit more understanding. I agree with you in hoping the initial roughness to the game doesn't put off so many that development just stops.
  12. This may not be something Obsidian will answer, and I can understand that. But maybe someone else can give me some input (based on maybe amount of downloads on Android or Apple Store, and comparatively speaking?), how has the reception to this game been so far? I know it is early. I haven't seen any marketing. Maybe someone else has? I am hoping the game has blown up, and it has overwhelmed Obsidian. I don't play a ton of phone/tablet games (tabletop/console/PC gamer mainly), so have nothing to compare it to. The answer, if any is given, will not sway my playing of this game either way, as I am hooked. Was more just curious how long can I expect to be hooked. Hoping for this to go all the way through Shackles, Wrath, Mummy and beyond.
  13. Someone has already floated the idea of bounties in quest mode. I think that would immediately help with quite a few problems people are having with quest mode. Maybe have those bounties scale with what mode they were completed in. I kind of viewed legendary as an option for the "hardcore". Doesn't need to necessarily reward THAT much more, but needs to be there for those who want more of a challenge. The type of people who solo Lem all the way through. Not for rewards, but the challenge. 50 more gold and a couple hundred more exp for completing the pain of legendary? Pass, which means I am not part of the hardcore.
  14. I can't confirm if this has been fixed for someone who newly hits 30. But I can confirm that my character with the additional power feat is still running around with the additional power feat. I loaded her into a new quest, and there was no prompt to fix anything.
  15. I played a few quests and kept track of all the experience numbers (15-19ish level range). Some of you may know all this, but I wanted to confirm it for myself, and share with those who didn't know: You only get experience for defeating banes. This varies from bane to bane, but here are some example numbers: Henchmen give 270. Any henchmen, even summoned from barrier henchmen. This makes things like Monster in the Closet great for experience (get exp from defeating the barrier, and then the summoned monster) Monsters vary a ton, but seem to be based on the combat rating. I believe pre or post encounter damage also has an effect. Some examples: 121 exp. - Skeleton, Goblin Dog1 150 exp. - Enchanter (hate her), Warlord 180 exp. - Goblin Pyro, Goblin Warrior 211 exp. - Ogre, Zombie Giant Barriers also vary, but tend to give more than monsters. The barriers that summon monsters and banish whether you defeat the monsters or not don't give experience (Goblin Raid, Skeleton Horde), but again, each defeated henchmen they summon will. Some examples: 241 exp. - Trap Locker, Monster in the Closet 360 exp. - Battered Chest, Secret Stash Villains all seem to give their amount based on what level you are playing. Normal Villain gives 300, medium level gives 450, not sure on legendary yet. I had a normal Erylium give me 300, and a medium level Erylium give me 450. I had a normal level Skinshaw man give me 300, and a medium level Nualia give me 450. I likely wont do the math on the legendary level villain, as I don't think it is worth it. I completed a few legendary quests before I was keeping track, and I didn't notice any real difference (which actually prompted this endeavor). But what this has shown me is my play style in quest mode needs to be very different from story mode. A location like the Woods (more monsters) or Guard Tower (easy Bandit Henchman at the start of my turn) are great for experience, where in story they are just annoying. I also have try to “milk” a location more in quest mode. Getting that henchmen on the first card of the location deck usually means I will not close the location so I can get to the rest of the banes (and more exp.). Then the balancing act of trying to get everything timed out to finish up on the last couple blessings and get all the experience I can. For this reason I wont delve into legendary much. There is too much that can throw this balancing act off. Also, I believe you do not get experience for anything if you fail the quest (run out of time). I do run out time once in a while, and I have never received a level reward after running out of time (which is what lead me to this conclusion). Someone please correct me on this if I am wrong. Having a blast in quest mode. In my opinion a very welcome addition from the tabletop version.
  16. When you hit 30, it is causing you to pick skill feat, instead of card feat. That is probably how he is at +5. Nevermind. Has wand, so has to be in story, not quest. Ignore me.
  17. I can confirm this. Kyra in the woods defeated the spectre, by a ton, got moved to another location. Not sure if he got shuffled back in to the location as it was my third to last blessing in a well planned "draw everything out to the last blessing to maximize XP in quest mode" and this incident screwed everything up. Had to quit playing.... for a minute. Should clarify, I was also using the first check option (Divine plus added die for turn undead), and not the combat option.
  18. I know in patch 1.0.3 it was mentioned that locked characters in questing would no longer happen. It wasn't mentioned what would happen to currently locked characters. I had a level 15 Marisiel that had a level 1 Kyra and level 1 Seoni added. I'm pretty sure I did the same thing mentioned before and immediately went out of the quest (forgot to pick the cards I wanted them to have), and my Marisiel has been locked since then. I saw the error reported and figured I'd give it time. I went ahead and ran Kyra and Seoni on their own to catch up. Today I figured I could finally add Marisiel to the party, but she still shows locked. Now I am wondering if maybe I am missing something.
  19. I see in the known issues the couple mentions of Seelah's Inspired Grace is causing issues with Illsoari and seeing the next card in the deck. I would also like to add that it occasionally changes the check on an item she is currently encountering to whatever the check is on the first card of the location deck (whether it is revealed or not. For example: I am done exploring and am left with a Cure in my hand (so I have no clue what the next card on the location is). I will cast Cure, roll my d4, get healed, then I need to recharge my Cure. I will use Inspired Grace (have to make sure i still have access to that Cure later), it will change my check to recharge from an 8 to whatever the top cards check to beat is. While that is fine if the next card check to beat is a 4 (cheater), it is pain when it is higher than the original 8. Let me know if you aren't seeing that and I will try to get a screen cap next time it happens.
