The end of the line!
Jeftidastl replied to Borissimo's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Closed Beta
I had an extremely similar thing happen in my quest mode, if not the exact same thing. First scenario went fine, second immediately goes fubar. Happened with a party of four without M or K so it is probably not character dependent. -

iPad, no permadeath, no PnP, Thistletop Delve normal difficulty, solo Sajan. Sajan faces Nualia, who increases her difficulty by 2 for each blessing played. Sajan uses his Unarmed Strike ability, recharges all his blessings, and then cancels the attack. Nualia's difficulty does not reset to her base difficulty. Can lead to situations like the following: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9VEj6nRumjPeFhDOFh4N0doWDg -

I do not think so, although he was probably explored through the Academy's location power. When I loaded up the save just now, his bury test was back up. Then the game got stuck again. Game breaking bug, Merisiel and Kyra, The Cult Exposed++ with Full Packs and Night Approaches on, PnP and permadeath off on an iPad. Merisiel acquires Brodert Quink at the Academy. Due to Full Packs, she has to bury a card. She chooses Brodert, and he buries but the game does not progress. No one can explore, play cards, or end their turn. I close the game and come back sometime later, and Merisiel is being asked to roll an Int check for Brodert. She fails, and the game remains stuck. This has happened once more since then, but I cannot reproduce it on a whim. -

While playing Foul Misgivings with adjacent location movement on, the Warrens is not adjacent to any other locations. While this may be doable with bigger groups, and just inconvenient with smaller groups, it will be impossible for solo play as the Warrens is one of the initial three locations. -
I agree with Deekow. The decision to banish/not banish is an important decision and not stupid. Some basic cards are extremely desirable, depending on party make up, player style, and scenario. Since those conditions are so variable, I am concerned about losing some of the control to automation. Hopefully more advanced options can be added at some point.

When Dr. Habe is searching for Banes to take his place, the Close button is hidden unless you know to look under Habe. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9VEj6nRumjPNk1BeHRwQnVCR1k Edit: looking at the cards to reveal the Close button puts the featured card behind the other cards. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9VEj6nRumjPWktYNzRBV1pHV0U -

Same situation as above. When close Habe's Sanatorium, the When Permanently Closed part of the location is missing, but you can still get it to work if you click where it should be. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9VEj6nRumjPZk5Gb2NBOWdGZGs https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9VEj6nRumjPcVo3RTg2ckJjY3c -

Beta2, iPad, story mode, no permadeath, no pass and play. Merisiel and Kyra in Undead Uprising++, Impending Doom and Retaliation are the wild cards. Merisiel takes the first turn, Kyra takes the second turn at Habe's Sanatorium. She encounters the Holy Candle and acquires it. She uses it and rolls a 6. The blessings deck only goes back up to 25, which is good, but there is no blessing type shown. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9VEj6nRumjPQnl4bTc1VExNdkE -

After my solo Sajan died I permadeath mode when failing against Blankfang, it brought me back to the character selection screen. Sajan was blacked out with a skull on him. However, I still put him in my party, turned off permadeath, and was able to start a new party with a new Sajan. The adventure still had the old scenario progress unlocked so my new Sajan could start right with Blackfang. However, all of old Sajan's cards were available for new Sajan to use in his deck. This should not have happened! Furthermore, after completing Blackfang's Dungeon, new Sajan earned both the scenario and adventure reward, even though he did not complete Poison Pill or Brigandoom. -

Story mode, permadeath on, playing Perils of the Lost Coast with Sajan, scenario is Black Fang's Dungeon. I choose Temple as my starting location. Right after than, when the map is panned over and the words Lost Coast show in the bottom left, the locations are out of place. My temple was located out in the water, and I think the other locations were shifted up as well. No picture right now as it happened rather fast. -
Suggestion: 500 Gold Cost for Burnt Offerings
Jeftidastl replied to Jeftidastl's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Closed Beta
Which makes it an unnatural progression of the game, thus my suggestion. Give us veterans a bit of a break, show the newbies how to buy adventure decks, and rope people in with 8 scenarios before you make them commit to grinding and/or money so they are more invested in the game. Win/win/win. -
Most of the time you do not have to drag cards around in this game, which makes the times that you do have to drag cards stand out. This is most evident while using Lem's power Versitile Performance. After choosing the power, you pick a card from your hand and get to click a nice, clear button that says Discard. Then you get to pick a card from your discard pile and...guess what the game wants you to do. It is not intuitive that half of his power works by pressing a button and the other half by dragging a card. This power and other card effects like it will greatly benefit from the streamlining of the commands. I know that at least one other situation in the beta would have benefited from this button, but the encounter eludes me at the moment. It may be that you only have buttons for the keywords listed and defined in the rules under Playing Cards. If that is the current rationale, this idea still works by naming the button Draw.

During Approach to Thistletop, during the advanced scenarios, goblins get +2d4 to their difficulty. At the Nettlemaze, you can test Wisdom to evade a monster. After the 2d4 are rolled, if you do the Wisdom check for the Nettlemaze and fail, the difficulty to defeat the goblin resets to the default difficult. This has happened with both Merisiel and Kyra with two different types of goblins. -
End of Pillbug Deck building
Jeftidastl replied to PinkRose's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Closed Beta
I was able to reproduce this bug. Merisiel had some boots that I did not want. I took them out of her deck, leaving her with 5/6 items and a dimmed blue arrow. I switched to Kyra and the blue arrow to continue was active. Was able to grab a better item from the box. -

The Strength spell seems to be messed up. Merisiel was at the City Gate and Kyra at Sandpoint Citadel. Merisiel encountered Tsuto and had to use bare fists. Kyra cast Strength, but an option on whom to cast it on was not given. However, Merisiel had a +3 bonus to her roll now. Furthermore, Merisiel could no longer backstab during this combat, nor the following combat to close the City Gate. -

Face-up cards when location is closed, please
Jeftidastl replied to PinkRose's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Closed Beta
There is no way to play the physical game and not look at the cards you banish from location decks. They have to be organized back into their box at some point! At my table, we always immediately scan the decks after closing. It is exciting to see that you just banished 9 turns worth of junk, justifying your decision to burn three blessings and a weapon discard on that encounter/closing requirement. It also helps reinforce the risk/reward part of the game. Several times we have closed locations with 1 or 2 cards in them only to find Poog or Zantus. That stings, but you remember that event! Similarly, in later scenarios you might have to shuffle cards from your deck into a location. If you forget to re-acquire it on closing, let's hope it was not good loot! With that said, I agree that an option to turn the cards face up or down on closing would be a good idea. Potentially increase the speed of removing them from the pile while face down, but give the user a chance to scan and inspect cards while face up? I have pondered about this game having an animation where and entire pile of cards is swept away and banished/discarded/whatever. -

That is actually how Temple is supposed to work, even when closed. The card text needs to stay displayed while it is closed, and it might be handy for there to be a warning before you move, or something. -

In Approach to Thistletop, when the d4 is added to the difficulty of the combat check for Gogmurt, the difficulty resets to the default valie if you switch between characters. Also, after Merisiel completed the first combat, I hit the pink switch button to see what Kyra had and the button disappeared. I feel like I should be able to switch back and forth, checking dice pools and making the better choice. -

Kyra used Invisibility during Poison Pill and it was appropriately banished as she does not have the Arcane trait. After the scenario, Invisibility was available while rebuilding her deck. -

When creating a new game, the pass and play option is not enabled until two characters are put into the party, which makes sense. However, as soon as it is enabled it stays enabled should you reduce party members back down to one. Graying it back out would be better. The difference between the selected and not selected images for both the pass and play and permadeath buttons are subtle, potentially making it too difficult to tell if they are off or on. When playing in pass and play mode, the cards in character's hands are partially transparent, allowing you to see parts of the cards underneath them. Again, I am on iOS 9.2.1 if that is a platform specific issue. -
Problems with pricing of individual items
Jeftidastl replied to Alklein35's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Closed Beta
In case you did not know, the last four characters were not included in the base game of RotR. They were part of a Character Add-On Deck sold separately. That is probably why they cost twice as much as the rest of the party. -
Suggestion: 500 Gold Cost for Burnt Offerings
Jeftidastl replied to Jeftidastl's question in Pathfinder Adventures: Closed Beta
I have played RotR a lot, and seeing that I had to grind through the same three scenarios just to unlock AD1 was really disheartening and did not make me want to keep playing. Seeing gated content so early was a big turn off for me. Furthermore, Perils of the Lost Coast can be extremely unforgiving and difficult without better loot and skills. Going through AD1 before heading back to grind PotLC solved both of those problems - it broke up the monotony and allowed me to power up my characters.
