  1. Well here's hoping it's a quick one. I've never been a fan of the "time" argument, and in a lot of cases where people have told me that "it takes time" (not this issue) I've typically disagreed with them and shown that being proactive can work too.
  2. Well then you're breaking things down into their parts. For something to be good, it doesn't mean that every part of it needs to be good, when assessed individually. The sum of the parts is what matters.
  3. What makes something good, if not people thinking that they are? Which means that someone thinking it is good, in fact validates that it is, in fact, good. No one is saying that you or anyone else has to agree. What do you mean the "wrong" choice? Because they voted for the person that lost? Your example doesn't make any sense at all. You can say that they voted for the losing choice which is fine, but to even assert that anyone voted for the "wrong" choice is absurd. Unless someone was coerced into voting against the way they wanted to vote, there is no wrong choice in an election.
  4. I don't care for soap operas. Though I could speak the same for you and your avoiding the question. I'm pretty indifferent towards them. I don't know many people that watch them. My Mom watches them, and it doesn't bother me. Because some people don't like them, doesn't mean that some people don't enjoy them. Of course an individual is going to have their own impression of what is good or what is bad. In essence what you've said is that nothing is good nor bad, since it's all subjective. Wait...now I'm confused. What makes a game "good?" I answered your question, so I'll ask my question again: If they (soap operas) don't provide anything positive, why do people watch them?

  6. I like it. Let me contact my reps in Hollywood.
  7. First, I'll admit this is totally a search for tips haha. Historically moving on past someone I was in a relationship was as simple as "it's over" and I would move on. My most recent one, not so much! Very annoying. I have limited contact, though we have a lot of mutual friends and we play on the same recreational Volleyball team. I've mostly just been trying to keep busy, since it prevents my mind from wandering (often to her). Lately though a fair bit of withdrawal is being felt, and when not focused the mind frequently wanders to her. The worst is sleeping, where dreams lately have been frequently including her in some way. Our relationship is a bit distant at the moment as we both take space for ourselves, but for the most part it's pretty amiable when we interact. Neither of us really harbor any ill feelings toward each other. Oh, and to all those that don't already know (shame on you!!!!) it's complicated mostly because it was a friendship that evolved into romantic feelings for each other...which posed a small problem to the marriage she was already in!!!! As a result...it's a bit complicated because I would like to be discrete enough such that I am not fielding a ton of questions myself (I suppose her too...though I have been pretty successful in convincing myself that I can't worry so much about what happens to her). Been considering dropping contact out almost entirely, but am worried it'll only make things "weird" the times we do cross paths because of mutual friends and stuff. I think I could tactfully withdraw from the volleyball team...though I'll miss playing volleyball with the team. However, I am definitely aware of her presence when playing, which is why I'm thinking that it might be best to take next season off and so forth. Stupid emotions!!!
  8. With an appropriate supervillain, they could make it work!
  9. http://pc.ign.com/objects/012/012050.html It must be Frogger 3! Oooooohhh, I get it. You don't think "Frogger 2" is a proper sequel!!! Hence, the new Frogger 2 (aka the improperly named Fallout 3) is the proper sequel! CHeck!
  10. What about a Scarlett Johansson Bond Babe?? Make it happen movie execs!
  11. Me too! A "proper" sequel...
  12. WRONG! I already declared him winner. Well, I technically declared myself winner...well, a tie between Hell Kitty and myself really. Aristes can tag along as a supportive groupie.
  13. Convert to JPEG next time!!! (or something smaller than bitmap anyways haha)
  14. I am one of those crazy types would place this responsibility on the owner of the intellectual property. It's crazy I know.
  15. For something to be popular, someone somewhere would have to find it worthwhile (and hence "good") on some level, wouldn't it?
  16. And my reality is that I would have prefered it be called something else. Anyways, this is getting rather pointless. What do people think about expansions? Will there be some or is Bethesda going to jump to Fallout 4/IV? And I'd prefer to be waking up next to Jessica Alba every day, but sometimes reality just isn't the way we want it to be. To scrutinize Fallout 3 because of its title is petty. If you like the game (which you say you do), then be happy you have a game that you like. It could have been complete utter **** if you prefer. But why someone would want to deny themselves a game they enjoy just boggles my mind.
  17. Well, it's be awfully strange if she was in it!!!
  18. Better here than where you are... I prefer reality. Or is it better to nitpick a game purely because of its title? If Fallout: Tactics or Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel had been called Fallout 3, all it would have been is a sequel to Fallout 2 that I didn't particularly enjoy. As for "would it be bad if Fallout 3 wasn't made." Well, for the people that are enjoying it....yes. It's too bad the game isn't all you hoped for. It seems to be for a lot of people, and that's good for them. If it's not all you hoped for, move on, and find a game that is all you hope for.
  19. Did I ever say I did not like the game? No, I did not. What I did say was that I do not consider it a worthy successor to Fallout 2; please stop putting word in my mouth to further your own agenda. As for the proposed Fallout 4, I think that I would most likely buy it -just as I bought Fallout 3. But wait, I guess I was supposed to be all "Fallout 3 suxors" and play into your posting... My own agenda. Right No, we don't. It's clear you're already living in denial.
  20. And many disagree with those who hold that belief, myself included. And no doubt you get equally annoyed when people start criticizing you for not being a "true" fan (or whatever) because you don't like Fallout 3, or that you're just a Bethesda hater with no foundation to state your opinion. There are plenty of fans of Fallout that are loving Fallout 3. There are also fans of the first two that don't care for Fallout 3. Oh. My. ****ing. God. What a statement of the obvious You don't like the game. Move on. Stop posting in a thread distracting from those that want to discuss the game. Given the success of Fallout 3, I wouldn't be surprised to see a Fallout 4. You can bitch and whine that it's not Fallout 1/2, but that's not going to change anything, and it doesn't make it any less of a sequel. It's just not the sequel you were hoping for.
  21. I was a big fan of the Titan, a Corsair ship. The best way to make money I found was through a jump hole that let you take drugs to one of the main planets. Sigma 13 to New Berlin I think...
