  1. Since ROTS set new records in ticket sales, I'd assume next month as safe.
  2. Good talk
  3. Autograph on her special celebrity photo?
  4. Last Indy games were decent so have no fear
  5. Scene with awaken Space Slug in TESB wasn't key either but added more star wars climate. With Nos monster is the same case. The key lies in details. Less details=less fun movie
  6. After seeing ROTS I'm sure that Lucas is a moron! He deleted dozens of interesting scenes from the movie that could make story more monumental and similar to OT. One of those scenes was with Nos monster on Utapau, that could match famous rancor. Very OT in style, poor Nos monster didn't make it to final version just like several crucial characters (Mon Mothma, Fang Zar, padawan Bene, Cin Drallig, Bana Breemu) so ROTS remained as unfinished as unfamous KOTOR 2. And there's no new Aurora on the horizon... So. Let's mourn poor Nos and all potential fun he could cause.
  7. I have just returned from cinema. Boy, three years of waiting and after two hours all suddenly ended. I have mixed feelings: ACTING: best of all star wars movies by far. It totally owns ep1-2 and much of OT except Return of the Jedi' Luke-Vader-Palps interaction. Hayden is really good and it's hard to believe that that's the same guy who screwed AOTC. There's greater depth in this movie than in any other SW... especially Hayden-Palps talks. Even stupid Portman is convincing. DUELS: duels are very energetic but too short and alll that blurb about "longest lightsaber duel" was a lie. And I expected that Mace death scene will be better: his duel is short and Anakin didn't really fight with him. That's not what Vaapad Weapons Master deserved - a little lightning from Palps and Mace dies. There should be a duel Ani vs Mr. Vaapad, similar to duel from ROTS video game. VIOLENCE: not so scary as they were boasting. Jedi Temple massacre that we were waiting for so anxiously, is screwed TOTALLY. Anakin marches and that's all - no duels with Shaak Ti and Cin Drallig, no younglings butchering, no clones vs jedi. Suckage! Most pivotal element of the film - Jedi extermination was very short and unsatysfying. SPECIAL EFFECTS: Lucas boasted that ROTS will overshadow rest of episodes but actually we don't see much of alien climate and explosive action. AOTC is much better in special effects and more dynamic. Still it's quite good. CONCLUSION: movie is best of all except ROTJ. Very good spin off between OT and PT but there's one flaw: great number of interesting scenes were deleted from final version and that's why this movie isn't satysfying. So monumental story that contains fall of democracy, seduce of Anakin, birth of twins, jedi extermination and end of clone wars should be longer cause you are unable to show all these things properly in 140 minutes. Important scenes often are too short (like Mace-Palps confrontation) and several key elements of the plotline are missing. Deleted scenes contained: 1 Death of Quinlan Vos on Kashyyk 2 Death of Jedi Master Luminara on Kashyyk 3 Chewbacca-Yoda action in AT-ST 4 Kenobi's star destroyer arriving at Utapau 5 Nos Monster from Utapau caves 6 Scene with Governor Tarkin 7 Dialog of Aayla Secura with commander Bly 8 Duel between Anakin and Cin Drallig and Jedi Padawan Bene 9 Scene with Mon Mothma speaking about totalitarianism 10 many Palpatine cliffhangers on Invisible Hand showing his enormous superhuman dexterity. 11 Obi Wan and Anakin swimming in rocket fuel with super battle droids 12 Many R2 gags on Invisible Hand 13 Mace greets Palpatine after crash of Invisible Hand 14 Yoda, Obi and Mace discuss the dark side and sith history 15 Bail and senators discuss the upcoming dictatorship 16 Anakin informs Palpatine that Kenobi will soon have Grievous head 17 Obi-Wan chooses his lizard Boga 18 Mace contacts Yoda on Kashyyk telling him about his plan to arrest Palpatine. 19 Amidala presents to Palpatine Petition of 2000 20 Utapau Windmill 21 Obi and Ani emerging from dispenser on Invisible Hand 22 Death of Bariss Offee on Kashyyk 23 Spirit of Qui-Gon 24 Wookies vs Clones battle scene 25 Yoda lands on Dagobah (can't actually believe that they cut so important scene) Rick MacCallum said that only 5-6 scenes will be on ROTS DVD edition, so imagine how much of EIII wealth we lost! Still it is a very good movie - even incomplete
  8. Starship fuel, Quinlan Vos and Luminara scenes weren't finished.

  10. Hehe you also rate Jedi Trial as a hopeless scribblery? The style is simplest possible and characters are totally primitive. There's no minimal depth in them. Odie and Erk (names ) decide to sleep and marry just after they first met which is weird just like rest of that book. This is what happens when you give two fmr marines a chance to write a book.
  11. Hahaha.... true Nuke. Monty was a lamo. Remember Market Garden
  12. Napoleon failed miserably at WAterloo, while Alexander succedeed at Gaugamela when odds were as bad
  13. I hate both Revan and Thrawn. That's why I placed Alexander in line "
  14. Think of it this way. By eliminating them at that moment, Obi-Wan could have diverted war. The droids would be leaderless. Thus, you save all those lives. How is that sick? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well killing with cold blood is always sick to me. But yes war could be avoided. Although there's no way Obi-Wan could kill Dooku. Dooku wiped floor with him later when he was alone, and he will do it again in ROTS.
  15. What a sick guy you are.
  16. He retreated as a victor with indian kings subdued
  17. Becouse Alexander is the only one of them who never lost any battle! (w00t)
  18. Unofficial Encyclopedia is a legendary well of star wars knowledge edited by great Robert Vitas. I usually check my info-doubts in it. It is superior to databank in every aspect. You can find it here: It is updated every month and contains over 100000 entries.
  19. Thrawn belongs to the mysterious Chiss race that inhabits Unknown Regions of the galaxy. It is basically most intelligent race in star wars universe. That's what Unofficial Encyclopedia says: this race of blue-skinned humanoids was from the planet Csilla, in the Unknown Regions. Their homeworld was locked in a planet-wide ice age many millennia ago, and they were forced to flee the planet as a species in order to survive. They are all well-muscled and tall, with jet black hair and glowing red eyes. While their history has been marked by nearly continual warfare and conquest of other worlds, the Chiss are generally not violent. They prefer to extend themselves only from a defensive posture, and viewed the idea of a pre-emptive strike against an enemy as if it were murder. This unspoken law dated back nearly a millennium before the Battle of Endor, and was one of the strongest points of Chiss honor and morality. Within Chiss society, children matured very quickly, never truly having an adolescent period before becoming adults. Many of the scientists at the Astrographic Survey Institute believed that the Chiss were among the first races to come in contact with the Yuuzhan Vong, some fifty years before their initial invasion. They theorized that the Chiss understood the Vong's military power, and began augmenting their own war machine to prepare to repel an invasion fleet. Unfortunately, the Chiss remained isolated in the Unknown Regions, and wouldn't allow contact with the New Republic after the Battle of Ithor. Chiss sages spent a great deal of time researching the Yuuzhan Vong, and eventually learned that it had taken the alien invaders many generations to cross the gulf between galaxies. Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet: this was the primary means of naval defense developed by the Chiss. Led by such commanders as Thrawn, it patrolled the Chiss sectors of the Unknown Regions in the years before the Clone Wars. Like all parts of the Chiss military, the CEDF was under the command of the Nuruodo family during the early years of the New Republic. However, the CEDF accepted soldiers and officers from all Chiss families. To distinguish members of the CEDF from other members of Chiss society, the CEDF uniform was primarily black in color, since black was considered the combination of all other colors
  20. This trick was used in EU already.
  21. Haha! You are impossible!
  22. Well I'm sure Eddo didn't deserve all that bashing. His threads are hilarious so what do ya want? Besides we have lightdaggers already. T'wilek lass Sinya uses them in Darth Maul comic (look at scans).
