I played K2 first. I pointedly ignored K1 on the grounds that it was Star Wars, and therefore not to be touched with a bargepole. When K2 was released I found I couldn't ignore the series any longer, my resolved crumbled, and I bought it just after it's release. I adored K2. I really did. I was captivated, completely under it's spell. Eventually, my resolve weakened further and I ventured out to lurk in forums. In the end, I was hearing so many referances to K1 that I decided to buy it. I did so. It didn't capture my heart in the way it's oppressive sequal did, indeed, at the start I was disappointed by it. Eventually, role-playing that particular PC suckered me in and I grew very fond of K1 as well. However, K2 and the Exile will always hold that special place in my heart.

Don't understand the Handmaiden
Reajeasa replied to Phaedra36's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Oh...I think I remember that. If it's what I'm thinking of, you have to approach them later to get them to say something. -
Clumsy? Why?

What Dxun 'realisations'? -
This one's quite a quickie, but I rather like it. It was meant to be Shala, my Exile, during the Mass Shadow Generator activation at the end of the Mandalorian Wars, but it ended up as her looking uncharacteristicly mood, and finally looking kinda cold. I'm saying that it's on Telos, near the hidden academy, since it's the only place I could think of where she's wearing robes and has the potential to be in a pose like this. It's sketchy, but I like it. Ta-da! Oh, and make sure to view it at full size, it doesn't look like it should if it's any smaller. EDIT: Fixed a small letter at the beginning of a sentance.

Very nice! Since you bring it up, how many layers did you use? I love the details, and I like contrast and shadows on the armour. Only one thing...the shadows can be a bit too deep, to the extent that it's quite hard to see details on the torsos of the soldiers, particularily the left one, but that's pretty much all I can think of. I won't say anything about the anatomy, since you already know about it, and don't need people to nag you about it, and pointing it out would be simply annoying. TSL Restoration Project: The Phantom Deadline
Reajeasa replied to Aurora's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Not "dies" persay; it's only VO and his line is something to the effect of "Make my sacrifice matter." <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Dang...and there was me getting all excited. I think that lines in the game anyway. Oh well. And <SP, I imagine that the project will be very large. Very, very large. -

He dies in a promo VO? Kewl! (w00t) Could someone give me a link? Please? -
No worries. To err is to be human...you are human, aren't you? :D

I was referring to the post above mine. Kinokono asked So I answered with I was referring to the 'about how much they disliked the Mandalorians' part. They didn't talk about how much they disliked Mandalorians because Mira did't dislike Mandalorians. Any clearer?
-
Because Mira doesn't dislike the Mandalorians. They were family to her.

Either way, cut content or not, I doubt the Atton thing was supposed to go any further. In his cut death scene, he confesses his feelings using the words 'never told you', suggesting that he wasn't intended to say anything before that. And Silvershadow, what were the two "hissy fit" scenes? I can only remember the one where Atton bites of Mical's head off after the latter offers help in the Hawk. To quote, it's the one with 'If I needed someone useless, I'd call you'. What's the other?

It all seems to be about the hands, doesn't it? I had wondered if anyone else noticed. Kreia, Luke, the Cantina Guy in Episode IV, Anakin...I'm not very well [read:at all] versed in Star Wars lore, but there is seems to be some sort of campaign against hands. My theory is that it's a nasty injury that doesn't stop the character from running.

I don't think that was in it at all actually Sargeras. Mira tells the Exile that he's too old for her. There's a whole conversation with her. Exile: "Come on, I can't be that bad. Give me a chance." Mira: "Are you sure you're a Jedi? That exile of yours must have gone on longer than I thought. Look, you're way too old for me. Even if I were interested, you couldn't handle me anyway. I mean, you're really good in a fight. And you've got those intense eyes, and it's obvious you take care of your body, but I really don't have the luxury of getting attached to you. Besides, you already have your little entourage. I don't want to be a part of the pack, you know?" (referring to Handmaiden and Visas) Exile: "No, I don't." Mira: "{Sing-song, as if she's said the same thing a hundred times} Look, if we start sharing a bunk, the other girls would get upset, and then I'd have to kick the hell out of them to show them who's the pack leader around here. No thanks. {Pats the player on the cheek} You're sweet, old guy. But let's keep it professional." Sorry.

TSL Restoration Project: The Phantom Deadline
Reajeasa replied to Aurora's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I meant to do this a while ago, but I didn't so I'll do it now. I'm adding myself to the ranks who are so very, very greatful for all of this. That's a lot of progress you've made. It's going to be wonderful to play through with my favoured Exile and have things go properly for her, with the full story. I can't wait to see what she does with all the new content. *grin* Oh, and a comment on the Visas force sight thingy: huzzah! She actually does something to The Exile's eyes! Just one thing, why does Visas show up as Light Side in this shot? Is she already designated as such? It's just that it might be confusing to have the Sith Lady that's hungering for your blood to show up as being light. Thank you Team Gizka. We would be lost without you. -
Juhani looks pretty. I never thought I'd say that about her (I don't mean I dislike her! Please: nobody hunt me down and kill me!). And I love the poster spoof. Any particular reason you picked Mira? Anyway, here's a picture of my exile, Shala Imsan. This is my first serious attempt at actually drawing her. And I couldn't have done it without LadyCrimson for providing reference shots. Thank you! It's a bit sloppy, but meh. T'will do.

Interview with KOTOR comic writer!
Reajeasa replied to Jedi Master D Murda's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I like my LSF too. She's taken up residence in my head. By the way, Kreia's DS prohpesy for Telos is that it will run (I'm paraphrasing here) 'Cold and smooth and hard, like a machine'. Telos turns industrial, coming under the control of Czerka. It doesn't die, although that sort of depends on your perspective. -
So true. I prefer books and paper. Paper feels nice, and then there are all the different book shapes and paper textures and paper shades and cover illustrations and nice chunky hardbacks and different font styles and different text sizes and...what? MacLeodCorp, I want your bookshelves. And their contents. Mwaha! EDIT:Letter mixup due to typing speed fixed.

Why does having a LSM stop the story falling apart? Or alternativly, why does not having a LSM Exile make the story fall apart? What are the story-tying-together powers of this LSM? -

That would be most cool. Completely unlikely, but cool nonetheless. -
*ahem!* If my memory is correct, I believe I have the answer. On the Ravager, provided that Visas is still alive after your battle with Nihilus, she will make a request to look at her former master's body. If you grant it, she will go up and kneel by him for a second. Upon her return, you can ask her what she saw. Her reply is...*drumroll*... 'I saw a man. Nothing more.'

KotoR 3: Ideas and Suggestions
Reajeasa replied to Elyk sith maurder's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I wouldn't like any voiceover for my character. Not even battlecries. And certainly not dialogue lines. The different PC's will speak in different ways and will say things differently. With a line, depending on the PC, it might be said with exasperation, restrained anger, resignation etc. I wouldn't like to listen to a voice actor say the lines differently from the way I know my PC would. I know when he/she will pause, when he/she will mutter, when he/she will be stunned to momentery silance. This would different for all of the PC's and as I said before, I'd rather my imagination supply how I know my PC would speak than have it block out an actor saying it differently. I know there are people who would find this a most interesting feature, but I just wouldn't like it. -
In What aspect is Kotor I better than II?
Reajeasa replied to extracheesy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Maybe it's because I've made a conscious effort for 13 years not to touch anything Star Wars related with so much as a barge pole, but I just don't understand why exploring the darker themes of Star Wars is frowned upon. The Star Wars galaxy is a big place with a long history: what are the chances of it all being in black and white? Chances are, somewhere along the line someone has been faced with grey and confusion, like in the real world, and I don't have a problem with looking at that situation. I can understand if people dislike things because they're dark. What I can't understand is if K2 is disliked because it's dark in the Star Wars universe. The odds of said universe being all sunshine and dasies and happy-endings-sailing-into-the-sunset and clear-cut black and white are very small indeed. I'm not very familiar with the BG series, never having played them myself, but I don't think this is the best example. There is a difference between completely changing the genre and setting of something and looking at the other side of the coin. Or the ridge between the sides. I would like to elaborate on my points, but I'm being ordered to prepare for sleep. -
Nope, it was definately ''Kumbaya, my Lord'. My head's a crazy place.
-
Well, since the other Sith Lords are now dead, you're the only powerful DS user left in the area. Therefore assuming the metamorphical 'Dark Throne'. That's my interperitation anyway. That just gave me a mental image of the DS Exile, various remaining Sith and Sith Assasins all standing around the red circle, holding hands, swaying gently and singing 'Kumbaya, my Lord' as one of them strums a little acoustic guitar. I just had to share it with you all. :D
