Why the hype?

probably because it's just something new. I'm a bit disappointed that it uses things like "encounter" abiltiies and strays from the rules of AD&D or D&D 3.5, but it's better than nothing I guess -
pretty much this. I love wizards and other casters, but it's a bit annoying
