Well, eager to see how it works out. Btw, petrifying Thaos and then finishing him off with summoned Spirit Lance should award your wizard bonus style points. Lance is not that great of a spell, but it looks so badass

Cipher has mind plague, the best aoe disable in the game probably. Amplified wave is maybe even more awesome, but not well suited for solo. Cipher suffers from quite uneven power scaling. He has solid spells on level 1 and 2, pretty mediocre 3 and 4 with a few exceptions and OP 5 and 6. As for barb, if you use OSA bug dw is the best style. If you solo you'll still need a shield though I think, since you'll die too fast in some instances otherwise. No need for 2h. If you don't use OSA bug 2h is probably the better dps style overall, but I don't think barb can solo well without OSA bug (you can prove me wrong though).

Wiz is overall quite sensitive to errors and thus doesn't look like the best class for trial of iron solo, but is pretty competitive I'd say. I'm still not convinced it's doable legitimately at all. For regular solo though where you aren't punished for a single small error, he's one of the best classes. Also casters have probably the best power scaling so he's quite OP by the endgame. I don't have a wizard main, but I just tried to duo Thaos letting him kill my main and do it with the wizard. Must say he can take the fight pretty much head on.

O_O. Pala should be super hardcore. I honestly think wiz is the best class for this fight. He can pretty much instakill anything with gaze of agradan if it lands, has super powerful hastening spell that would allow both kite and cast faster, can protect himself from elements nicely, has extra summons etc. Headsman has like 70 will so he can easily be confused and judge can be petrified. You can also boost your accuracy by at least 30 with eldritch aim and a scroll.

Pike/Quarterstaff are indeed one of the best melee options for rogues. Everyone who is obsessed with dw is just following the stereotypes I think. DW can deal more damage in certain circumstances but is very risky. I wouldn't run a dw rogue. Also I wouldn't run ranged rogue cause they don't get much outside of SA tbh. So 2h reach rogue is probably the only way I'd use rogue in a party.

Well, you're abusing several bugs at the same time. Might as well stack infinite DR while at it. None of these is working as intended. Also, pala is probably the worst dps class, especially when fully tank specced. I have one mid level party where everyone is 30k+ damage and pala is like 2k. I'm pretty sure OSA should be 20% and is a coding error. Jolting touch/battleforged are just bugs.

Wiz has a lot of awesome CC and still good aaoe + defensive self buffs though. I'd argue that wiz aoe might be actually better for solo. For non ironman I'd say cipher, wizard and druid since you have tools to beat anything if you're not extremely unlucky. For ironman situation will change since you need something that can recover from bad luck better so more stable classes like chanter get better.

I would think so, but the thing with Monk is there's only so much attention it can get (when not tanking) OR if used properly, it gets attention round the clock. My Cipher easily gets just as much attention because those stuns are vital for tough battles, with Rogue being one that I perhaps "neglect" in the sense that Rogue could benefit from constantly going for flanked targets, but this doesn't really work out with my squad composition. I NEED either the Rogue or one of the Priests to help hold the line, so defensive tactics get prioritized over offensive ones there. The Monk can combine both with no harm done to his damage output. Wizard is another I neglect simply because the damage of Cipher and Monk's per encounter abilities seems better than that of Wiz, so sometimes I forget Wiz momentarily. Still, trust me on this. Monk's damage output seems to be the best in the game overall. I feel the point I want to make is that if you absolutely babysit any character, of course that character's damage ouput goes up significantly. Monk however I think sees the most significant increase, because there's constantly something you can do with the Monk (so long as it tanks some damage), whereas Rogue or Cipher or Wizard are going to have their down times. Can you share your monk build?

It's funny how everyone has one character that does twice the damage of everyone else in the party. Maybe they are just biased and babysit their PC more? I dunno. My parties had it much more balanced. Tanks were dealing obviously next to no damage, but the rest of the chars had it more or less even. The latest party I've been running had #1 cipher (about 20% lead) #2 barb #3 wiz (very close) #4 druid (quite surprisingly, he was also the PC, also pretty close to wiz) #5 priest (much lower than druid) #6 tank chanter (effectively no damage), The druid still contributed ton of damage in big fights, but wizard has probably taken the lead because of blast in trash fights and barb/cipher racked up the numbers on trash fights as well.

Wizard can just cast Gaze of Adragan without all the hassle of luring enemies into the trap. Barbarian is kinda bugged, so not sure how legit that is. At this point you can start abusing some stat stacking and call it a strategy. But even without One Stands Alone is a solid choice. Also One Stands Alone does't help with the harder fights like Thaos who is a single spellcaster.

Priest of Skaen would probably have to go with stiletto + light shied probably and high RES at least (maybe RES an PER), but if you dump might completely there's no point in Skaen and you don't want to dump INT or DEX. Melee cipher without a reach weapon suffers from same squishiness problems, but at least has some great benefits from it like freely using antipathetic field and ectopsycic echo for great damage and generates focus faster than the ranged one. You can also give him a retaliation item later on for even more focus. Overall looks like a more fun option.
