it start to become useless against some foes around level 4... in PotD his hit rating is not high enough (only 40) against deflection value of many enemies (most cases around 65-80 in act 2). His life stays always at 50....which is nothing...you can cheese enorm with him, and with flanking bonus (summoning him in the back of enemy, you can boost his hit rating with 10 points) but this it. at level 6 i normally switch to drakons....overall they are far weaker, but as tank canter with fear debuff chant, you simply sit in doorway, summon the 3 dragons in safe side, and they start nuking with fire damage...not high number, but high enough with time.

chanter is nice, but he has a really boring playstyl...and you can fall asleep, when you play him in PotD....and sleeping during combat = death. I think from active playing aspect, AOE splash barbar as firegod, with fire damage, retiale strike item, autoattack dual life leech or 2h life leech (you get it by the dragon, but the way to him...100 small dragons...feeled^^) Cipher tank...early game with shild, later without...level 1 spell, which makes chain of damage, level 1 charm, which give you position time....and later many RAW damage spells, which ignore the DR reduction on enemies. monk...the "poor" people version of splash barbar...works similar, but if you do not go attack speed monk, you spam 1 button. Chanter, summon cheese...as tank....it sit, wait, sit, wait...and you are the only class, which slows down in fighting speed when you level up... priest, druid...at the beginning slower than other class, but if you bring them to act 2 and retiale strike items, you become devasting with crazy buffs...and chessy tactics.

Actually my monk has really bad ref defence...so i need the speed to avoid spells. and with this high speed, you can "abuse" mobs, I backstab them, and than I run away before they can bind me in melle combat. so half screen, they turn around, more backstabbing. I didn't skilled attackspped with my monk or interrupt. normal PotD trash gets bombed by retiale strike from armor, the wound gains damage, and my skil with small aoe damage. strong single encounter get a blunderboss (the shotgun) volley with poision strike talent (means I get per one attack 6 small shoot, which all add the 45 RAW damage from poision strike,) only think were i'm not sure, i skilled stunning strike and not fire wheel. the speed would be better, if there is a a pair of shoes like flamewalking, which adds a ground dot. somethink like chater frost trap

spider legs drop also in the map before raedrics hold... and you do not want fort to be immun against stun, you want enough fort defence, to get a window againt 1 phantom to burn the group beind him into the ground. you need circa 68 fort defence, that the windows are big enough. if you have lore 4, you can alternative use sunburn spell, in the phantom room. run straith to the door in the right left corner...than boyblock a shadow (which ports in the door and is faster than phantoms) deactivate under options auto attack for characters now burn the phantoms into the ground.

so, cleared it....after i got level 5, my fort defence was high enough, that i didn't got perma stunned.... fireball trapp, bodyblock at the door at backroom, two fan of fire, all phantoms down. now sipders are next goal, but they are more easy, my monk has speed +3 at running...and there is nothing i cannot outrun^^

I hate random loot generator, after ironman monk died....restart...and didn't got in Inn and Temple the +frost damage and life leech cloak...of course, checked at phantom in temple, 60 fort defence is not enough, perma stun lock from 1 of them. and without cloak phantm hits like truck against a monk without shild. I know already, i have a problem in first room of stronghold...were you have 5 phantoms who say "let me stun you" ______________________________ to the chanter video, gratz, it is unlucky the onyl playstyl you can do as chanter... if you would play cipher at PotD, you would get 1 purifit to stone form trap, and than you nuke him during trap duration with all this crazy RAW damage speels down. -------------------------------- chanter is "boring" playstyl and little easyier, but other classes can it do better.

Last hotfix and XP: to my surprise, it seems with the last hotfix we got a XP buff for PotD difficulty. I gave in my monk run the temple quest, and i got: 405 quest XP --> 810 group XP, which means it buffed quest XP to 100%. Before 1.03 patch and after patch, it was 405 QXP --> 607 Group XP ---> 50% buff. finally a good news.

raedric on PotD means: you have to fight: Readric 2 rouge bodyguars, one as 1h, one as dual wild 3 paladin bodyguards with 2H 2 mages, with heavy range attack 1 priest 1 ranger with Bow only good think, nobody is fighter with a shild....that would be overkill... my tipp, do not make the dialog with him, if you do it per dialog, you stand in the middle of all of them and they gang bang you. simply use a bow pull to get all as enemy ---------------------- i done him as chanter at level 4 with unlimited summon cheese. but as non chanter, i would do him after the old watcher, when i got endurance regg belt, so that i can dogde split pull them slowly.

To old watcher or raedric first, I think concentrate on old watcher, because after watcher, you can traverl further and buy items like the trollbelt for 1endurance per second. Raedric is a unlimited fight, means the belt, after you got out of sight can heal you completly up...and yo can slpit and reduce the enemies one after another. ----------------------------------- life leech is weapon bound...you have to find them.... easiest to get in order: 1.) flair in temple first town, second level 2.) Dyrford, sabre in the far east town at shop after old watcher (were you can buy trollhide belt, too) 3.) and in big town, you can buy a LL combat bow 4.) stilleto, at spider boss, endless path dungeon level 1 (were old watcher is) ----------------------------------- cipher would be my first choice for solo run, if there heal would be working on themself, too. they get crazy strong buffs over time, with absolut heavy CC. And they get on most of there spells accurcy bouns, which is so important in PotD to catch up to enemy deflection numbers. They have lategame really strong RAW damage attacks, which ignore Damage reduction. They would be perfect, if there heal would work on themself....but this is a wish^^

So, i testet how life leech on weapons works: and seems there are many bugs included 1.) Liffe leech adds 20% endurence per weapon typ damage done 2.) Life leech on weapon stacks, like every effect on weapon. - 1 weapon with 20% --> 20% LL - 2 1h weapon with 20 % --> 20%+20% = 40% 3.) it do not work with elemental damage (means fire god do not trigger life leech) 4.) it works with skill damage, which do weapon type damage (pierce, crush, etc.), 5.) it do not work with monks aoe damage on wound gained but, in my test run, it looked, like life leech bugged out. in low level, when I used dualwild with 2 LL weapons, and used force of agony attack, for skill damage, 40% LL was right calculated...for all of damage done, but at level 12 with more skills, force of agony hitted for 30 damage....but gave me only 3 endurance points (in early it hitted for 12dmg and gave 5 endurance points) looks like at some points, passive or talents, or damage calculation reduce amount the health you get.

For Solo Priest, you start is a mix out of caster (with no aoe dmg) and tank start. After prolog (in prolog, your warrior you get can outtank even in PotD everythink the games trows at you) you should be level 2 -> talent should be shild and weapon talent You go directly first town, ignore everythink in first outddor map. First town, collect all Quest, and solve the mill quest. Rest now, you should be exaustet from you prolog. Do mainquest at tree, you should now hit level 3... After level 3 questorder you want to do... 1.) blacksmith (to get the shild)...you need to kill 1 mob to stealth pick the quest item) 2.) cook quest 3.) Temple (with many, many rests...) --> getting life leech weapon, helm is without bugging out moving Ai out of reach 4.) Range trink quest for the sister 5.) bear cave --> you should now hit level 4 ---------------- It didn't played priest higher, yo can choose now between raedrics hold with heavy boss fight, or old watcher with heavy boss fight. what oyu choose depens on your stat points.
