  1. ... Did you even play the game? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes. 5 times. I used '-esqe' because not everything is 1:1 exact - forgive me, it was a HUGE leap to assume something even similar I mean, you are really a nobody in some respects but a war hero at the beginning of the game, and in at the end you still aren't the big hero. Granted you have your share of adventures but still, it isn't some 'collect the 5 pieces of this artifact to defeat the enemy' that feels really epic. When I meant your character is a nobody, yes I know that you are considered the last existing jedi, have huge bounty on your head etc, but in the whole sense of the plot, you aren't destined to be a Revan or Jesus or anything, and you primarily see defeating the enemy really just benefits yourself (unless you play REALLY lightside - this is looking at it from a somewhat neutral point). Look at K1 - "where is the star map?", "what is the starforge", "how do I destroy said starforge" K1 is all about saving the Galaxy from the evil. If I didn't feel like a hero (vengeful too), I could just sit back or enlist with the Sith, who cares, new regime, as long as it puts food on the table, but NO, I just have to do it. Now K2 - "what did you to to me when I came back from the war", "can you sever my force bond", "where is [jedi master], I need answers to him about me" K2 is ME ME ME - Bounty on your head, Sith Lords want you dead, Force bond = fatal and bad, especially when the other one you're bonded too is as close to death as absolutely possible. You want them out of your hair, so unless you like looking over your shoulder every 10 seconds, get going and deal with it. Sure, wasting a few crimelords along the way may help some people, but you just do it to get to the big fish.
  2. K1 plot = NWN plot, more of a Star Wars feeling K2 plot = Firefly-esque plot - you aren't really an 'anybody' in the universe, just trying to get along every day but people want your arse for particular reasons.
  3. The ending was never meant to be epic ever, cut content or not. Big difference compared to K1.
  4. Dantooine, with Visas, I dont ever rememeber the will giving a lightsaber part, but makes sense. Dantooine is the better start, since you can get your personal crystal while you're at it.
  5. I was referring to the story. The combat was just as easy and the game itself was about as linear was the first. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If you played NWN, KOTOR 1 is pretty much a straight rip-off of NWN. You need to find some artifacts to end an evil, along the way, the heroine goes evil, you have to fight her, big cinematic boss fight at the end. K2 was missing all of these. IMO, the last duel in K2 wasn't like K1's duel at all, none of that "we're battling while another battle is being battled above us"
  6. The true Sith? Wasn't it because they eventually mixed with the Dark Jedi?
  7. 1) More DS manipulation. 2) Different animations for different Lightsabre forms 3) Grabbing your sabre from Atris.
  8. Kreia, if she counts. Zez-Kai Ell and Kavar. I wish Vash was in the original. Might try the mod out.
  9. Sentiel or Guardian with Marauder. Lightsabre beating > Force spam
  10. And so is the attack roll ... unless you take finesse (which I always do).
  11. Strange, because I have an ATi 9200, which is supposed to have PS 1.1, but when I do try Force Sight of first person Kreia/Visas, no change
  12. After I read that .... ugh. Armours suck anyway. Better off with some robes.
  13. I'm sure Bioware would've included K2 robes if they could get it into K1. Besides, here's a perfectly reasonable explanation(s): 1. They forgot the robes at home. So they only wore the tunics 2. The wore the robe over the tunic, or wore clothes (Zez-Kai Ell) to disguise the fact they were Jedi. Overall, the robes were well done, except for the ones below (dark) Jedi Knight robes, which I thought weren't brown enough and too redish.
  14. I prefered K2 robes. Too bad you can't take off the robe part and keep the part underneath, especially for boss battles (like they do in pretty much all the prequel movies) How they evolved, I don't know. (and is there a way to get K2 robes in K1?)
  15. Vrook was hard? Didn't think so. I always take Dantooine as my first planet and usually get about 2 levels in a prestige class by then. Guardian 15/Marauder 2 Master Speed and double-sabre. It wasn't hard. Except every time he healed, I kept queing up Master Flurries.
  16. Yeah, and in it, Kreia has two hands throughout the game (They say their ultimate build involves dual sabre for Kreia. )
  17. I wish the forms offered some animations - like Form III deflecting away while Form V deflects bolts back, Form IV with crazy jumping, or Form VII with some stronger looking blows or more grace in Form II. Combat is too easy, so I really just stick Form III on ASAP and leave it on. And give my sabres +BBD. Engaging blaster enemies is fun (solo). Stand still, and I just press the flourish weapon for fun and watch as I am impervious to blaster fire.
  18. Kreia and her sabres are easy (on normal) - I picked Guardian/Master for my first play. Just slap on enlightenment and hack away with PA or flurry. I had a good 600 FP and over 800 VP at the end. Though most of my offensive powers usually were resisted.
  19. Lightsabres are also tools for jedi. Especially good door openers. :D
  20. He felt shify, but then, they should've used a human instead of a Twi'lek to get the exact expression they were aiming for easier.
  21. I haven't finished the DS side, but right now, it doesn't feel much different from LS (apart from the ending). What really messed K2 was dialogue was sorta loopy, so you can do that classic go back and ask again trick, and I didn't really like Peragus/Telos as much after the first 3 times.
  22. If you're LS, you're a bad man, especially so for not putting ranks into Treat Injury. If you're DS, it feels somewhat manipulative.
  23. K1's DS way wasn't any much more different. The only manipulation I really could find in K2 was breaking Hanharr. The rest of it either go into "threaten me again and kiss duracrete" or "I'm gonna kill you just because I feel like it today"; with the latter being more bully-like, and the former as sorta cool, IMO.
  24. First build I made was a Guardian 19/Jedi Master 8, and believe me, my stats were: STR 12 DEX 15 + all level up attributes CON 12 INT 14 WIS 12 CHA 12 LS mastery I *never* ran out of force points even when I was a guardian. Just spam Force Wave and I laughed when it didn't make a dent in my FP meter. I didn't take FP regen either.
