On urging of friends, I decided to watch all the Fast & Furious movies over the past 2 weeks and while the first few were bad, they do get entertaining big dumb action movies once they switch from the racing aspect to more heist movie stuff. Good way to turn your brain off.

She's had no such experience so far, but the first trimester was essentially all-vomit-all-the-time and she's not allowed to play stressful competitive games anymore because the baby will kick her until she stops.

I assume they are referring to "Bitterballen", which is a fried ball of breadcrumb filled with meat ragout. They're delicious. Other than that, a very Dutch thing to do is put chocolate sprinkles on bread and we have, of course, "Stroopwafels".
For traditional meal food, we do this thing where we take boiled potatoes and a vegetable (such as kale or sauerkraut), add some tiny bits of bacon and/or ham and then SMASH THE ****ING **** OUT OF IT until it's a big mush. I hate it. It is usually served with smoked sausage.

Watching the Mueller hearing and checking social media at the same time is a trip. At the risk of sounding like an Enlightened Centrist(tm), both sides are wildly misrepresenting what's said, but the right wing stuff is absolutely bonkers. Deep state elderly abuse! Wild!
Of course, the worst part is that all the questions boil down to "I didn't read the report, I'm too lazy to do my job". I, a foreigner with no stake, literally informed myself better than the governing body of the most powerful nation on the planet.

So, Mike Mignola had issues with how Guillermo del Toro handled Hellboy, so he backed this version instead. But this movie really just does a terrible CGI version of that with a dumber script and no style. Was it just the PG-13 lack of blood and swearing that pissed Mignola off? Because this had blood and swearing in spades, but it was more cartoonish and less mature than anything in Del Toro's flicks.
Here's the REAL reason Mike Mignola had issues with Del Toro - the movies were better and more interesting than the comic books. Del Toro's vision of Hellboy was better than Mignola's and Mignola is a bitter, jealous and petty ****wad. This is why he killed Hellboy off in the most depressing way in the comics: Because it reminded him of his inferiority.
And now we have this garbage. Thanks and **** you, Mignola.
