Can I ask why the people who picked Dungeon Keeper 2 did so over the original?

The developers admitted that it was their first intro into game developing. *But it's still leagues better than EA's Dungeon Keeper. Late response, but yeah I know. I followed them when it was still a Dungeon Keeper fan sequel, and in fact talked to some of them in pre-production. I almost joined their team before they went from 'fan sequel' to 'spiritual successor' at their original forum at KeeperKlan and entirely restructured the team and dumped half the members. This was several years before they even launched a kickstarter. I vehemently disagreed with their goal to create a balanced highly competitive e-sports experience inspired by StarCraft 2, citing that nobody but the most hardcore Dungeon Keeper players gave a crap about its multiplayer and they were completely wasting their time. I actually ended up getting banned because I refused to stop pointing out when they were making balance changes to hypothetical concepts when they didn't even have a halfway functional vertical slice yet. Half of the cool ideas were met with 'sounds cool, but it'd be unbalanced'. Talk about your idea killers. One of the reasons I'm so hard on this game is because so many of their problems could have been avoided if they had prioritized the campaign and lookdev over a multiplayer component that nobody cared about, and I literally told them that personally before they even started making the damn game. Yes, I know this is petty and biased but I did take it personally when they assured me they'd prove me wrong and just completely failed to do so.

I don't think I have one. Cuphead wins by a mile for aesthetics (I'm an animator, duh) but I HATED playing it.

Many thanks to both Shady and Oner for the games I poached off them. I haven't gotten to try BROFORCE yet (thanks Shady!) but I definitely will use it for some local co-op with friends. I did try Getting Over It with Bennet Foddy (thanks Oner!) and I think I may have made a horrible mistake. Some 20 minutes of attempts in and my calm is severely damaged. I enjoy the occassional rage game, but this one... I think this may be the worst one. This is made much worse by the fact that my wife is laughing at me about it. Oh my god, a terrible error in judgement! I'm always astounded by the generosity in these threads. Message boards can be heated as they are generally filled with passionate people filled with their own opinions, and sometimes its easy to forget that there's so many good people in the community. A 'bit' of a rage game, yeah. The main game mechanic is essentially doing physics puzzles with terrible controls. I actually thought co-op was signicantly easier than single player, but then I now have a computer that doesn't screw up the simplest physics engine processing like my last one. May have affected my single player experience.
