On a less Volo note, are any of you aware of Adam Henrique? He's a Devil's rookie center playing along side Parise and Kovy and man has he been tearing it up. If Nugent-Hopkins ever hits a slump of some time Henrique could challenge him for ROTY. A lot of people who don't watch the games credit his successes to playing along side the likes of Parise and Kovalchuk but coming from someone who hasn't missed a game this season I'm telling you he's the real deal.

I never said anything about the longevity of his career. Parise and Kovalchuk should be or are approaching their prime. Elias is not in his prime. That is the point I was making.

Patrik Elias becomes the all time leading scorer of the Devils tonight, and the assist came from his old buddy Petr Sykora! I love Patty and he's meant the world to the Devils, our best, most consistent forward for the last 15 or so years. We retired Niedermayer's number the game before this one and it's only a matter of time before 26 is up there in the rafters as well. On the downside, Elias had 2 goals tonight putting him at 12 for the season...That's the most on the team. 36 year old Patrik Elias is leading the Devils in goals on a team with Parise and Kovalchuk, not the best news ever. However, Kovy usually picks it up in the latter half of the season so we'll see if he goes on that 30 goals in 40 game streak that he's capable of.

Malkin is probably my favorite player of all time, along with Patrik Elias. I want Malkin to be traded because I think he's capable of having a team built around him, and he's been in Crosby's shadow too long in Pittsburgh.

I wish the Pens would trade Malkin and get a top tier defensemen to compliment Letang.
