I'd love to play a game that was more realistic in terms of things not always being clearcut into "right" and "wrong". I agree that games tend to feed us a preselected notion of these things. Using more realistic views of topics such as racism and capitalism would make things far more intellectually stimulating, and who knows, maybe even broaden the horizons of people who had narrower views. I'm all for it, Josh!

Hey, Obsidian peoples and fans! I've decided to start participating in 2 forums more actively today. A forum about music, and this, the forum for my favorite game company (because they made my favorite game - KotOR 2!) From what I've seen there are some pretty interesting threads going on, and I didn't want to jump in without an introduction. I'd say more, but I'm actually excited to read more, so I'll just leave you with this quick hello. Muah! -Jade

Since you're one of the few who wasn't "disapointed"... I absolutely loved KotOR2 and relished every moment of the game. I grew very attached to the characters, especially Kreia. I thought the dialogue was interesting and I always wanted more. In the end, I liked KotOR 2 more than KotOR1... because it was -darker-. My 2 cents.

I think the gaming industry is working it's way towards giving you that which you want. It's not that the developers haven't conceptualized this potential effect of choosing sides, but it most likely would require much/too much work to realize it. Already the fact that you can alter many aspects of KotOR, such as your alignment and the alignment of your allies, is a vast improvement from the linear games that existed only a few years ago. Soon, as the game industry continues to expand and companies become large corporations, they will spend millions of dollars on the development of such things. So don't fret, it won't take too long. Well, Bastilla, in my opinion, both KotOR1 and 2 supersede the Star Wars movies. I saw the movies but never took a particular liking to them despite my penchant for sci-fi. It was only this past winter when my roommate casually gave me his copy of KotOR2 that I fell in love with the depth and quirks of the Star Wars universe. Since then I've been playing and replaying both KotOR games (dark side, light side, male, female) and they've surpassed my love for the Final Fantasy series. In a nutshell, the KotOR stories are superior and it being a game makes it a far more involving/real universe. In my humble opinion. -=Jade=-
