I did my undergrad dissertation in eight days, including experimental data collection. Quite proud of that, even though I shouldn't be.

In a bizarre switch everyone EXCEPT the government goes mad

Ok, but the cost efficiency is a seperate issue. You genuinely think there's a fighting chance that they could be rehabilitated? -
I'm a fan of mixing meats in the one dish. I've often thought that if there was such a thing as reincarnation then I must have been Polish. Where possible I always begin with frying some bacon in the pan, and I generally use the 'wrong' stock to go with the meat. i.e. chicken to go with beef etc. Occasinally I have what are best described as mental reboots which leave me wondering what is going on. This happened to me once when I was eating a burger and I threw up. I realised i was chewing cow arse. Which did make me think. But then I'd say the same horror could apply to any number of perfectly normal operations. My favourite food in the world is biltong. Which is raw air-dried meat. NOT pemmican before anyone fething suggests so. You cannot possibly get more meaty than biltong. It's pure condensed raw meat.

I'm old enough to remember Maggie actually taking my milk - an iconic event which I won't bother to elaborate upon. Suffice to say I didn't start out as posh as I am now. Maggie's problems were fourfold IMO. As usual she took a good thing far too far. 1) She broke the unions. The unions had been causing trouble I very barely remember/imagine I remember. Look up the Winter of Discontent which was in itself a good idea taken far too far. The unions didn't need breaking. They needed to stop behaving with the same rapaciousness they formed to combat. In the end we lost our coal and steel, as casualties to her objective (IMO), and saw a big rift open up between the police and local communities which has fed crime ever since. 2) She took an aggressive anti-communist stance on foreign relations that in particular saw us cozying up to Augusto Pinochet and his ilk. Although given how aggressive, and indeed possibly demented Leonid Brezhnev was at the time this again is understandable. 3) She sold off all our sodding North Sea oil because she felt it was philosophically unsound to hang on to it, and it was best given over to big business. Needless to say this was an error. This, coupled with the loss of coal and steel means the Uk is now unworkable on its own. 4) She refused to solidly address the question of Europe. She hoped that Britain would get sick of a loss of sovereignty in time and the issue would be resolved when we did. I believe this was an error. People who think we should have gone in with more enthusiasm also think this was an error. ~~ However, the real problem with the Tory party is less to do with their MPs than the people who vote Tory, which is the exact opposite problem with the Liberal Democrats.

I really liked Arcanum. It was a bit sparse in places, but a great universe.

Isnt that the case with all meat? Beef, pork, fowl...not a carnivore in the bunch. Pigs will eat meat quite cheerfully. So I've been told. In general however my biology teacher suggested that we avoid predators because they are more prone to parasite infestations, which we may take on board. Plus I'm told most predator meat tastes distinctly bitter. I do know a fellah who was obliged to eat baboon while in Africa.

OK, so Ros, what do you think of this particular situation? I know you aren't qualified per se, but your reaction's interesting and valuable nonetheless. -

Sorry. I wasn't having a go at how you sounded. You've obviously got experience and I try to listen when someone does. I think it's vital to temper ANY scientific study and research with first hand experts accounts. I see what you mean about wanting to feel anything. Like eating leaves or paper when you're starving. That makes very good sense in its own way. Thanks for giving your perspective. My next question is the obvious one. Once someone takes the step of going beyond and actually committing serious crimes of violence and sadism do you think they can come back from that. And if so, how reliably? -
At last a sensible suggestion. Thanks.

Given my own background it would be rather hypocritical and bigoted to presume Cameron can't care.
-
Thanks Boo. i might do that.

Well, I enjoy the experience of being outraged by him. But I don' take them remotely seriously since I discovered how much he manipulates the presentation. He treats us with as litttle respect as the people he portrays.

You bastards! All i want is an example of one you've seen recently which you thought was good! *sobs*

Fight global warming, support abortion. I think you raise an interesting option, which is to round up all teh assorted professional malcontents, and quangocrats and delete them from the balance sheet of global warming. I'm sure LoF will be priapic to be put in charge of this valuable social service.

I'm sorry but my mental ears are pointing directly at Rosbif, like a pair of very well trained spaniels. -
I've got no issues with the topic, since I was invited to apply based on it - I've worked with the university before. But I don't know how to write this kind of high level academic shahoozle.

Why in the name of sweet badgery f*** would I want to eat something which looks like meat but is made of other stuff? Yes, I meant herbivore meat. I phrased it that way to enhance the comedy potential.

Mooseman, I DID say I find it hard to believe that I might vote Tory. Nay virtually impossible to believe. But Brown is a swivel-eyed mentalist, and his team of ministers are completely rubbish. Better the devil you don't doesn't always apply.

Awesome. You get my full attention. My ears are pinned way back, and I want to learn. What do you think this problem revolves around? -
Yeah, I wouldn

OK, so now we're on to necromantic cottaging?

And at the same time delivering a potent message about the mental landscape of someone who guns down everything he sees. I have no problem with this.

AI companions in your armour and weapons would be cool, plus a nod to Rogue Trooper. They could just provide cool commentary on the game, and interact to help you get perspectives on puzzles, grow exp. The best bit being they would require nothing besides the script.
