Some are, some are most definitely not and are better armed than some S.W.A.T. teams - it depends on the level you are talking about. the vast majority of security guards i ever see around are either fat or old (or both) pacific islanders and half the time they sit in their cars and sleep

Has anyone read the Artemis Fowl novels? Is he up to Douglas Adams' standard? i've read the first one wasn't all that great to be honest, but i've heard the series gets better as it goes on

so the girl i met at a party and had some... fun... with in the weekend txted me last night and wanted to meet up so we met up and went and had a few drinks and games of pool, then all of a sudden we were back at her place and things started to happen now this seems all well and good, but then she said something that kinda killed the mood apparently i look like her ex that she's still in love with and blah blah blah dammit

fallout 2 (again) melee/big guns character currently running around with a super cattle prod with Sulik, K-9, and Dogmeat (came across the Cafe of Broken Dreams really early on in the game. yay high luck!) for big fights i run in first and let off a burst with my bozar, then switch to the prod and we all wade in to clean up the mess

my boss wants me to write an article for our "team newsletter" it's some lame idea he came up with to try and get the group to get involved and do something together we still insist that the only way we're gonna do something as a group is if there's drinks involved besides, i don't know what the hell to write about, and he's left it rather ambiguous. i can write "anything i feel like" apparently

it was easy enough i guess in K1, i just went scoundrel to consular, and used Cassus Fett's blaster, and a Mandalorian Heavy blaster walk into room full of badguys - spam stasis field - rapid shot sneak attacks in K2 it didn't really matter what you went for. with all the upgrades available even regular blasters could become quite powerful

in the 1st game blasters were overshadowed very easily by lightsabers, but with all the upgrades you can build in the 2nd game, blasters can be easily just as powerful as sabers i have played through both games as a blaster using jedi though

You'll burn in spinoff-hell for this! All of you people who haven't played JA2 should rush out and buy it and repent for your sins. but i'm lazy and it would involve trying to track down a copy

i thought you only encounter the Pariah dog when your luck is below 4 or something? and it gives you jinxed as a perk or something, rather than a trait i've never encountered it in any of my games before

for the most part i don't mind too much, it's just that if she has a problem with him it shouldn't involve me, that's all though she did make me quite uncomfortable the last time i had drinks with her she was going round saying that she thinks my ex was stupid for breaking up with me and then geting back together with her previous boyfriend coz she says i'm way hotter than him she's said that to me before, which was a bit weird, but this time she was going round saying it to pretty much everyone at the party, and trying to get their opinions too in the end i told her to cut it out, as what's in the past should stay in the past so she broke up with me - it was a few months ago now, leave it alone

i'm kinda worried i have this friend you see, and she's been seeing this guy for about a year now. he's a bit younger than her, and can be a bit immature and foolish at times, but generally he's a pretty good dude he's a bit of a metalhead, and she's more of a goth. she gets on fine with all the metalheads, but he really feels quite uncomfortable around the goths and doesn't like being around them so sometimes when i go to partys and shows with the goths, she really wants to come, but doesn't want him to feel uncomfortable, so she wants to go with me instead. now i got no problems with that, but i don't know what he thinks about me taking his girlfriend out to parties without him i don't really want him to feel like i'm gonna make a move on her or anything, coz it just wouldn't happen. i have a personal rule to never do that sorta thing to mates. what i'm worried about is her she seems happy enough with him, but from time to time i get the feeling as if she'd prefer to be with me or something. now that may sound pretty vain, but look at the evidence - once when she was drunk she told me quite blatantly that she thought i was hot and that if she wasn't with him she would've made a move on me by now - last time i went round to her place for drinks she insisted we go out to the beach, and once there she kept clinging to me and holding my hand (it was fairly cold though) - she's told me on a few different occasions that she has much more fun with me than him, and wishes he'd lighten up a bit and be more like me she's a mate and she's quite cute, and heaps of fun to hang out with i don't quite know how to approach the subject with her though

bleah Battlegrounds was lame they didn't even bother to develop anything at all, it was pretty much just AOEII reskinned to be star wars
