I'm sure this has been asked, but as anyone been able to solve the Telos fuel problem? I obviously can't kill G0-T0. Is there some way around this? Maybe mind trick Vogga into thinking G0-T0 is dead? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I guess I've just heard rumors. I still prefer console games, but to each his own.

Xbox version patched via Xbox Magazines Demo Disc?

I don't have the money to upgrade my computer every few months just so I can play a game. I'd MUCH rather spend my hundred fifty on a console and play games on that. Plus, sitting in front of a computer hacking on a keyboard is nothing compared to relaxing on a recliner/couch and playing my game on a much bigger screen. Some of you must be cash cows or live with your momma. Just too expense for me, sorry if I'm poor. *This post was not entirely directed at you Odabhsoj.

First off....how would they have a Live! patch for a game that does not support Live!? And if they release a version that DOES support Live!, I had better get one for FREE...or at least at a fair discount. Problems. -Freezes. Too many times to name. -Missing text. -Have been stuck in walls and fallen through floors. -T3 is LS but his picture shows DS. -Can not change Handmaiden to become a Jedi because every time I talk to her my entire screen goes blank, but the game does not freeze. -Major slow down when numerous enemies are around. This results in a game freeze. -
How do you unlock the mind trick option on themenu
Retnuh replied to SoulessEffigy's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Yes that's exactly what I was talking about!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Its easy. Go to the character menu. You will see a picture of HK-47. Highlight that picture and press down. A phrase will pop up. Every letter in that phrase represent a letter in left, right, up and down. Go to the Jedi Mind trick menu and put in the code. That is how I fiqured it out. I don't remember the phrase or the code, but I hope this helps. -
Wrong! Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow along with almost every other XBox live title has received patches both minor and major. A patch for Battlefront will be released this month which will correct various problems with the game and increase the multiplayer max to 32. The patch will also feature a new map called Jabba's place. See, thats what I thought. I had heard of games getting new content (splinter cell and ghost recon) but I have not heard of games getting repairs/changes to the core of the game. I had the notion that TentamusDarkblade was referring to XBOX not OK'ing repairs on games that have already been released, which makes sense. Where did you get the info that Battlefront would get repairs? Battlefront must have sold tons of copies to makes LA feel that such changes would make them money. I'm not too good on this quote stuff.

Listen, this game is full of glitches/bugs.....I have experienced the same thing and it happens every time I play. I would return it and maybe buy another game. There is NO way to solve it unless LA/Obsidian makes a patch or re-prints the game.

Are you talking about the Prima disc by chance? If not then disreguard this post. -
I don't think they will re-print, actually I doubt they will change anything at all. I think that all (including me) who are hoping for "repairs" will just have to bite the bullet and wait for K3, which I might add, will probably be a launch title for the next xbox.
-
Thanks for the information TentamusDarkblade. This sheds some light on why LA passed on funding live or why Obsidian decided they wouldn't pursue it. Do you think it is possible for LA/Obsidian to make additional content and allow OXM to peddle it or possibly make their(LA/Obsidian) own disc to sell? I personally don't think so, but I HOPE so. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say.

Xbox version patched via Xbox Magazines Demo Disc?

i cant recall how far along the development process, but the devs DID state that there would NOT be xbox live. i believe it was sometime in either september or october when they were "clarifying" all those magazine previews which stated that xbox live would be available. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe it is a question of how credible this magazine is, but in the January issue of OXM-Nihilus cover (official xbox magazine) they stated that they couldn't wait for the download content (xbox live). This is January, maybe they missed the memo.
-
You missed the point. He wanted it Live enabled, like the first game was. See, if it was live enabled, then we could have downloadable content, such as a patch for the bugs/glitches. They could even have finished the droid factory and put that up as downloadable content if they wanted. Live isn't just for online gaming, it has a bunch of content that can be downloaded for a various games. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly. I'm glad you had the patience to explain this.

I thought the ending was fine.... just left some questions. Could it have been better? For me there were two HUGE questions. Why in the hell was Mira walking around on Mal V and was Bao-Dur dead...which if you have the Prima guide it states that he will make the ultimate sacrifice, which goes along as to why Kriea said nothing about him to me. Other then that, having a "cloudy" ending kinda fit the games personality.
-
Why would it be live-enabled? To add to the game? To release fixes? And who would be bankrolling the production of add-ons and fixes? Kotor is not Obsidian's property, they're just the developers. You should direct the question towards whomever actually makes the decisions about post-production support for Star Wars videogames. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks for the info ***wipe. All of what you had to say was useless to me. Just so YOU know, I don't care who does what, at what time and for whom. I asked a simple question. Why no XBOX live?? Obviously you don't have the answer, so **** off.
-
Does anyone know why K2 is not "live" enabled? Simple enough question that I have yet to find an answer to. You would think that if you have a rushed game, "live" would allow you to fix it, add to it, etc. It really irritates the hell out of me; every other review on K2 I read stated that it would be "live" enabled. I know this is just beating a dead horse, but I would like an answer.

50% are locking - what is Obsidian 2 do?
Retnuh replied to SoooFrustrated's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
LOL! Lawyers?!?! If they had kept it xbox live enabled then everything would be cool. I myself have tried to fiqure out why they didn't do this but have yet to get a response. For the PC'ers sake, I hope their copy is much better. Although, with all the problems, I have really enjoyed the game! Oh yeah, if you have an older xbox(thompson drive) or a copied game, then you might get some problems. I have an older xbox which was giving me problems while playing the game. I also have a newer xbox which has yet to cause a problem. vote for a director's cut -
I agree. Number 7 is a good idea.
-
Did LA or Obsidian ever give a reason for not allowing K2 to go on-line? About every other mag. review I read had stated that it was live enabled (OXM-Nihilus cover). Another review I read said that you could be trained by Sion (Stuff-Tara Reid cover)?!?!
-
I know Obsidian was rushed on this game. In my opinion a Director's Cut would be great. They could clean up the bugs and (if possible) actually finish the game. One thing would be to actually have the "Droid Planet" where the HK's are built. Don't get me wrong, I believe Obsidian did a wonderful job with the amount of time they had, LA just dropped the ball. Some questions I would like you guys to answer is: 1. Would you buy a Dir. Cut? 2. How much should they charge for one? be realistic 3. Finally, what are some of the "tweaks" Obsidian should/could make? I believe if the game was online enabled we would not be having this conversation.

I really liked the idea of leading a rag-tag group to find Revan and the Exile. I'm not really fond of starting out as the two battling the Sith
-
I believe Plano Skywalker and phoenix240 have some pretty good ideas. I like the idea of recruiting previous Kotor characters. Candy Man is in charge of the Mandalorians and Carth is in control of the Republic Fleet. Atton, Bao-Dur, Mira, Handmaiden, Disciple and I guess Visas are the "last of the Jedi" so to speak....at least that
-
I saw Bastila on Onderon. When I was leaving after helping/saving the Queen, she comes up and talks to Carth about the "Exile" and Revan. This is after I have my little convo with Carth.
