  1. Finally finished the Firefly sidequest. Seriously, so much tied to the Batmobile. The previous game(s) were so fun because you were Batman. You weren't a bathtub with a canon trying to race around with time limits and agile foes, trying to just take a corner without going completely out of control. I swear, Batman downs a case of beer before he steps into the Batmobile.
  2. Just finished the "boss battle" with the tank. Just a slog of trying to maneuver that bathtub around the streets while taking potshots for 15 minutes. Fun stuff (sarcasm). I think Rocksteady spent way too much energy trying to include the Batmobile that the game suffers for it, as do a lot of the missions that require it.
  3. Whoever designed the Riddler's last driving test can leave the gaming industry now. So much frustration in one map. Ugh. I'm never going to be able to finish that quest now, so it's so tempting to just give up on the game.
  4. To clarify, I don't mind driving around or using it if it's optional. I just hate the fact so many of the quests make it mandatory. It's so unwieldy to drive that I find myself constantly "failing" any quest where I have to chase someone and when I inevitably lose control and go off the road, they get away.
  5. The forcing me to use the Batmobile for so many missions is seriously hurting my enjoyment of Arkham Knight.
  6. I usually only get the DLC if I enjoy the main game (which reminds me I've got to get back to Horizon Zero Dawn's DLC some time).
  7. Maybe I'm just early on and it opens up more, but Arkham Knight so far seems like there's way, way less to do in the open world than in previous games. On my map so far there's the main quest, there's some murder quest, some rescue firefighters quest, then there's random Riddler trophies. That's it.
  8. Are you playing with a controller? Playing Arkham type games on Keyboard and Mouse sucks as wired keyboard and mouse always has that delay compared to a wireless controller that offers a lower latency output. Probably why developers put "Controller strongly recommended" at the beginning of platformers and action oriented games now days. I'm playing on the PS4, so controller. And it's still one of the more frustrating experiences in gaming trying to handle the vehicle. It's only about half a step above driving in the Far Cry series.
  9. That's disappointing to hear.
  10. Seriously, do I have to use this idiotic Batmobile a lot? I really hate how it handles. Instead of feeling as though I'm driving the real Batmobile, I feel like I'm trying to maneuver a bathtub on wheels.
  11. Decided to scrap Wolfenstein and started up Arkham Knight. I'm regretting it already because of the stupid Batmobile.
  12. How so? The information from both the author and CDPR indicate he was offered a percentage royalty deal, but declined and took a lump sum because he didn't think the video game would sell much. What am I missing?
  13. ... Which also wasn't very good. I tried reading some of his books after I'd played the games. I thought they were pretty trash. Essentially, I think CDPR infused interesting stories/characters into a world that was mundanely written by the original author. It's no wonder he's trying to get them to pay him royalties for their work. His writing isn't good enough for him to earn his own fortune selling his books.
  14. In fact, the more I read about it, the more angry I get at the guy's greed. They offered him a royalty deal at the beginning, but he turned it down for a lump sum because he didn't think they'd have any success with the game. But now that it's successful, he suddenly wants that royalty deal he turned down? Idiot.
  15. The author sounds like a jerk.
  16. I'd forgotten about Shadow of the Tomb Raider being released last month. Maybe I'll pick that or Assassin's Creed up since I'm pretty much going to shelf Wolfenstein II for now.
  17. Wolfenstein's not drawing me in for some reason. I'm playing it, but more for the sake of getting my shooter fix than because I'm invested in the story. I think I liked the first one better.
  18. Ugh ... stealth in Wolfenstein 2 is so unforgiving. First, no matter how much I crouch or hide behind objects, the enemy always seems to spot me when they look my way (even though I should be hidden behind something). Second, as soon as one sees me the entire level goes on alert and never seems to go off alert. It's gotten to the point where I just run-and-gun from the start since it will happen inevitably anyway.
  19. Okay, I think Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus just jumped the shark.
  20. Mass Effect 3 has an ending that made almost no one happy. Does that count?
  21. Decided to play Wolfenstein II. It's been forever since I played the first one, so I'm still trying to remember what happened and who everyone is.
  22. Wolfenstein or Batman Arkham Knight: Which should I play now? I kind of want to take a break from the superhero theme after spending the past couple of weeks on Spider-Man, but at the same time I'm also kind of into the superhero thing at the moment and might lose interest if I shelf it until afterward.
  23. https://cad-comic.com/comic/dampener/ (in case image doesn't load) Ironically, it was the Miles parts, not the Mary Jane parts, that annoyed me.
  24. Finished Spider-Man. Did not enjoy the final boss fight. Felt like all my skills and abilities learned were useless and I could just spam the regular web shooter. Also hated the part when the entire building was on fire and I had to aim at the high vantage points to keep from burning, all while trying to grab those flying items using L1+R1.
  25. Not too thrilled with the sneaking, non Spider-Man parts. One of my minor grievances with the game.
