Well this is the next game in the series ladies & gents. Like any other series, the Elder Scrolls games have their inherent strengths and weaknesses, such as graphical immersion and hack and slash combat respectively. So why expect anything different? The only reason you'd be disappointed is if you falsely expect this to be something an Elder Scrolls games never was. Just appreciate it for what it is. And yes - those forests were awesome.
