No that does not work, plus after I downloaded hewett packards drivers from their site, My whole computer crashes and when it reboots it says it has recovered from a serious system error. What a joke this game is, they should simply put on the box that it is not recommeded for laptops. I could have gotten a different lucasarts game or warcraft for cheaper. EDIT: Well I went back to omega drives and reinstalled there ati one and now my ystem is back to normal and does not crash which is good, but I am still in the same spot with the vido and opengl, even when I try disabling movies It crashes in the same spot right after I make a character. $50.00 for something that is literaly going to just sit there and do nothing...they should have just put not for laptops on the box...[sigh]....oh well since I work at where I bought it MAYBE I can trade it for a different title but they rarely do that....otherwise I will sell it on ebay under the name kaijin!, this really blows....doubt the patchwould fix my poblem.

Disabling the movies does not work. After I make my character it does the whole "A long time ago........." thing then shows the damaged ship going towards the asteroid field and the planet, then it just goes to a black screen and I can hear some sounds in the background and the background music, then the game just closes completely like it was never started.

Yeah I just finished trying it and the site is back up so that is good, even got the driver installed, but still does not meet gae requirements... says the same thing and I downloaded omega 2.6.05a

BUMP! Come on some help has gotta be out there I really want to play this game especially since I can't return i because it has already been opened. Also It really should say on the box that it was not meant to run on laptops. I had no clue until after installationand finding this site.

I have a RADEON IGP 320M 64MB for video according to the games scanner that is under configuration, but I cannot downlod from ati. It says in error or something like that. I tied getting 4.11 but no luck. What should I try to download and where from to fix this? Also omega drivers site is down so dont suggest that. It says I need the following for video: 32 MB Open GL 1.4 compatible PCI or AGP 3D Hardware accelerator with hardware transform and lighting (T&L) capability required. and this for open gl: Non-Windows Generic OpenGL 1.4.0 drivers and I have ATI Technologies Inc. - 1.3.4276 WinXP Release This is what I need fixed, I upgraded my ram to play this game(it is now at 704 MB), yeah I got a laptop oh well I do't need to be told they are not good for gaming I just need to be told how to fix these last 2 problems.

I still need some help since omega's site is down, I just need to download the openGL someone has got to be able to help me. also when I download from ati I get the follwing error: INF error video driver not found or something along those lines. This occurs durring installation I tried getting 4.11 and 5.3 and the same error occurs during both setups.
