One thing tho i hope they stay well away from cell shading as i hate that in games it looks so naff.

It deserves the fullest viewing anyhow since WE ARE GETTING KOTOR 3 Hope its developed well, i mean its bioware this time not obsidion so we know it will be polished well and fully developed as they never make half finished games. (no dig at obsision but they dont have the resources of bioware thats all i meant)

But for a few minor issues surely they could release and just patch it later since theres not many bugs just a few minors as stated, nothing critical.

surely they can release this now if theres just 8 trivial bugs left and just release a patch to fix others later.

You probably have to change that thing in the ini from 1 to 0. Frambuffereffects or somit. I had to do this as its a problem with nvida cards. Tho this was for kotor 1 i think im not sure if its the same in kotor 2.

Just had a thought and was woundering how cool it would be for a total conversion to the Star Wars (4th film, 1st released). Have vader and all the gang. Death star map levels etc. Be so cool i think. I know total conversion be way too time consuming but even if a small vader mod is to add in that would be cool.

IGN kotor 3 news Havent read kotor 3 topics here but just read this from bioware forums about kotor 3 is in development by obsidian entertainment. Only things i would like is no revisits to same planets as k1 and 2, make it look like halflife 2 or doom 3 gfx style as in "modern and realistic". And make it 2x as long and have hk-47 still in hehe as after all the starwars films to me about the adventures of the droids c3po and r2d2 as there the only ones in all films practically. Oh and it should be set in a time a bit closer to the modern age rather than stuck in the past. Or maybe a future kotor after luke and leia and han, set about 30 years after. Now that would be cool. With regards to total real time combat i really hope that doesnt happen as kotor games semi real time combat is great and should be kept as its well just the best system as a rpg game it should be kept to stats gameplay rather than how many hits you can pull off. Plus the current system works so well.

Surely they can cover themselves as most mod groups do adn put in the readme the credits of who did what. They will probably say who tweaked what and who added new content and then have at the bottom usually all original content property of LA and Obsidion...... Btw i dunno who came up with the word "obsidian" but the first place i heard it was in ds9, the "obsidion order". Dunno if they can get done for that, probably not but just woundering about this for ages.

Exactly what kinda of betatesting do u do for just movie and sound quality upgrade? I mean its done its done how can there be and testing of them as if it works it works if it doesnt it doesnt, its not like a bug test which would take this long but for movies and audio? By the way i reckon the movies and audio is fine and of high quality for me, id much rather have the content or bug patch.

I was thinking if it would get full details on and smooth fast fps with a new gfx card upgrading from a gf4 ti 4200 64ddr to a 256mb 6600gt card? What kinda of fps would i be looking at. I have Amd xp 1900+ cpu 768 ddr ram soundblaster live 5.1 card (2 speakers) gf4 ti 4200 64ddr card If i do just the gfx card upgrade for now and a cpu upgraded later would i get smooth fast fps with a 6600gt card? Can I get some answers from people who have a similar computer with a 6600gt card as i dont want some guessing answers based on systems with p4 3gig cpus or whatever. Mainly answers from ppl who have upgraded to a 660gt card with around the same cpu as mine.

If u can get hannhar (whatever) instead of mira, are there other alternative darkside characters u can get instead of lightside characters perhaps. Would be good if there was a a whole bunch of alternatives u can choose to let into ur group or not. A lightside character or dark side character depending on what allaince u are on. For that matter why cant u star from the choosing a character option u can choose to be a jedi consular/sentinal/guardian or a sith lord/maurada or whatever else they have as alternatives and u start off with a dark side look Perhaps that is for kotor 3 Or an expansion pack for kotor 1 or 2.

Read some posts that seem to imply that he can joint ur party. If thats true what slot does he occupy other than the usual ones? I dont think u can get thim tho but if u could whats he like in ur party?

I know strength for melee characters and dex for ranged characters. But what kind of stats should they have to make them good at either melee or ranged? Also what kind of weapons are good and also what kinda upgrades are best and for which weapons? Just i started my 2nd run through kotor 2 and want to be better at setting up and equiping characters this time. I want to know what stats and feats and that are good for either melee or ranged and what weapons (upgraded) are best. If you can help with tips and what not i would be appreciated.

I have tones of saves and sis save before asking her about her mother which leads to the betrayal stuff. I did try the warp cheat to get out of there but when i talk to her on ebon hawk she doesnt have any options to ask her to start jedi training. So just used the save before the "betrayal" stuff and continued on. THe devs did say i think that there only putting in one new movie, perhaps it is the telos bug being fixed perhaps? Although i would have thought it would be ingame using the engine of the game to show the cutscene not a movie but still u never know. Anyhow im upto keria on mandalore v now, so all is ok. Just have to remember to not goto enclaive till late in the game to get handmaiden to be jedi/sith.

Im on this bug as well, on PC tho. Why wasnt it fixed with the patch grrr... Anyone know any way to complete that bit? I really do not want to replay the game just cos of this im enjoying my character so far and wish to complete the game with him. Please help

I have decided to try vistas, bao and t3. I can get upto the point where u get to kil a few sith near the ship but after than i try to goto entrance of crypt or whatever it is and there tones of sith and thers even a few with sabres. Vista isnt too bad but the other get killed very quickly cos of like 3 to 1 for each of them, so they get killed very quickly. Driving me nuts, tryed playing that small battle bit about 4 times now and same results. Might have a chance if i can kill a few at a time but they pour out of that temple thing and i hate the granders they have. Plus the stipud beast keeps attack me also. WHY the beast doesnt attack sith as well is totally unfair. Your right whoever said it about the computer giving crap stats when auto leveling. Bao is about 14 in strength and 15 in dex. Vistas is 20 dex i think and 14 in strength.

Believe me mira is awsome with the blade i gave her, she was great in nar shadar when i had to play her as main character to get out of the exchange base.

Well i have auto leveled the characters except exile mainly cos i didnt want to fuss about too much this run throught of the game and i thought the computer would do a decent enough job. Bao-dur or whatever the heck hes called, has a upgraded floater droid. Old women said wise choice when i picked him, he wasnt too bad with the bowcaster. Mira (bounty hunter) was with a good vibro blade. And atton was stuck opn ranged attack when i had him on vibro blade which i didnt notice till they were all near dead and he wasnt helping mira with melee attacks lol. The only jedi's i have are the ones u meet, i didnt know any of the others could be trained as jedi and thought they were all crap so never used them in missions, i used mainly Visas then the old women and exile as there the only force powered ones with sabers. I usually find ranged blasters equiped party members useless as most enemy are melee based and blasters are useless at close range. Plus blasters i think cant kill anything quickly as it takes about 10 shots to kill somit. Lol now if the droids could use sabers, hehe hk-47 with one at least then that would be cool and probably really useful but i doubt he can use them. If i used only droids like goto, hk and t3 what kinda weapons should i use on them? Also i dunno why (slightly off topic) but when on ondoron in the cantenia, using GOTO (floating) to move about was smoother on fps than using exile or mandalore (is mandalore canderas from kotor btw?) Is that because theres no walking animation used when using goto that it seems smoother when u move. Oh and when i had mira, bao dor and atton when i was walking along with the mandalorian i came across the mine field with alarm at end of tunel. I used mira to sneak past mines but the alarm went off, is thatcos the other were following me or cos i had no cloak on? Though it was only if u touched the mines the alarm would go off.

When the jedi from ondoran asks for help ur group also has to do a mission on dxun to get some sith. I tryed with Mira, Engineer guy and atton but there crap. Who can i pick thats good and also remebering to keep some good ones for the ondoron battle later which i presume there will be. Might get a jedi person that has master heal as it would be useful. But who else?
