Well. At least Jude Law was hot. Maybe beautiful's a better word. The whole movie looked pretty good. Liked it. Haven't seen it in over a year now, though. Tastes change. Shame bout that.

Used to watch VH1's So 80s as a dim-witted Caucasian kid with mild social aversion back in late 90s Romania. Changed my life. Does that count? Bad Brain - I against I Butthole Surfers - Mexican Caravan Captain Beefheart - Ice Cream For Crow De La Soul - Say No Go Dead Can Dance - The Host Of Seraphim Dead Kennedys - California Uber Alles Good Stuff. I'll take a better look later on.

So did I. Do you consider yourself a social conservative? Because it's kinda funny how two of our mods are the only forumites to have gotten that result. Oh, I think Taks has the biggest "capitalist score" around. He just seems to have an equally high "liberal score". Of course, this test is pure quackery. One of the reasons I love it. Definitely.

Oh and for the sake of reference, here's a photo of Charles Bukowski with one of his lady-friends: Found my Out To Lunch CD. Rip Time. Modest Mouse - Bukowski

Most of their stuff is. Especially put in the context of its time. Your location is giving me strange, yet appealing, yeah, definitely appealing, vibes. Pretty late. Wonder where I left that record. Jackie McLean - Isle Of Java

Unfortunately I'm not overly familiar with SF literature. Burroughs, I think, has some elements in The Nova Trilogy, but it's experimental prose and I doubt that's your thing. Have you read any Genet?

I love that song. It's the perfect homage to Bukowski. Arguably the greatest bastard to ever have lived. One of the few people to whom I'd have easily offered my anus to vandalise at will. "Don't Try" how to be a great writer you've got to **** a great many women beautiful women and write a few decent love poems. and don't worry about age and / or freshly-arrived talents. just drink more beer more and more beer and attend the racetrack at least once a week and win if possible. learning to win is hard-- any slob can be a good loser. and don't forget your Brahms and your Bach and your beer. don't overexcercise. sleep until noon. avoid credit cards or paying for anything on time. remember that there isn't a piece of ass in this world worth more than $50 (in 1977). and if you have the ability to love love yourself first but always be aware of the possibility of total defeat whether the reason for that defeat seems right or wrong-- an early taste of death is not necessarily a bad thing. stay out of churches and bars and museums, and like the spider be patient-- time is everybody's cross, plus exile defeat treachery all that dross. stay with the beer. beer is continuous blood. a continuous lover. get a large typewriter and as the footsteps go up and down outside your window hit that thing hit it hard make it a heavyweight fight make it the bull when he first charges in and remember the old dogs who fought so well: Hemingway, Celine, Dostoevsky, Hamsun. If you don't think they didn't go crazy in tiny rooms just like you're doing now without women without food without hope then you're not ready. drink more beer. there's time. and if there's not that's all right too. Neutral, I'll track those albums down, eventually. Listening to Bukowski.

You know, maybe you could, on a certain day and in a certain state of mind, try expanding your literary horizons or some other, equally pointless, deed of mental self-gratification. Excerpt: Anyway. Teary-eyed: Scener ur ett

Liked a few tracks. Name me some of their less disappointing albums. Also, Is Awesome.

Anal **** - Picnic of Love Greed Is Something That We Don't Need Help! This is Mother Earth! Somebody please help me! The corporations don't even care While the rain forests go bare Oil spills & tanker wrecks Don't show the sea creatures any respect The park turned into a parking lot The woods turned into a shopping mall The swimming hole turned into a sewer dump Isn't there anyone who cares at all? Greed, greed, greed, greed, greed Greed is something that we don't need You stand by and watch the corporate rape But not me, I made this tape After 12 years of Bush & Reagan We've become an insensitive nation The park turned into a parking lot The woods turned into a shopping mall The swimming hole turned into a sewer dump Isn't there anyone who cares at all? Greed, greed, greed, greed, greed Greed is something that we don't need Corporate greed, rape and crime The laws are stepped on all the time Polluting the water, they don't even think But their money won't help when there's none left to drink The park turned into a parking lot The woods turned into a shopping mall The swimming hole turned into a sewer dump Isn't there anyone who cares at all? Greed, greed, greed, greed, greed Greed is something that we don't need

It's okay. I felt that way too at first. You just have to live with it and, in time, embrace it.

We watched The Outlaw Josey Wales and had a couple of beers.

Counting those that took the test right now. Socialism 10 - Capitalism 3 : (( Why do you hate money? Yes. This is the second time I've made this joke this week.

I'll hit the record store tomorrow morning. Right after my weekly visit to the library. Unless I somehow manage to lose all my money. I do have to find a certain George Harrison record. And: Anal **** - Picnic of Love. I Respect Your Feelings as a Woman and a Human I was watering my rose garden and you walked by my place I almost ran up to you in a lustful, unsensitive haste I almost cried cause I acted so insensitive But I wanted you to know about the feather-soft warmth I could give I respect your feelings I respect your gender I respect your existence I'll always be tender Cause I respect your feelings As a woman and a human I'll be the pansy-growing gardener of our bouquet of love A flower-wielding soldier with the grace of a dove I'll love you all, heart, mind and soul, I'd never think of anything cheap I'll read you some of my poems before you go to sleep I respect your feelings I respect your gender I respect your existence I'll always be tender Cause I respect your feelings As a woman and a human I can post lyrics too.

Really good stuff. The Herbaliser - Shattered Soul

That has nothing to do with the current topic. ) Lit - Miserable <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Blind much? The topic is what I'm listening to. All else is idle chit-chat. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "that" of course, referring to the sentence and not the song below it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Blind Much? It's all part of the post. Which is on-bloody-topic. You're right. I'll listen to them. Tomorrow. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Now, now. The music people love can be extremely annoying. Especially the lyrics. Imagine me posting a bunch of stuff by the Hanson Brothers. Dear Lord. You should have quoted the whole paragraph though. Made more sense. Hank Williams - (I Heard That) Lonesome Whistle

Heh. Hell if I know. Great album. Not as good as Madvillainy though. And I do expect some backlash on account of Danger Mouse's part in Gnarls Barkley. Which is extremely fun. And popular! Gnarls Barkley - The Boogie Monster

That has nothing to do with the current topic. ) Lit - Miserable <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Blind much? The topic is what I'm listening to. All else is idle chit-chat. Permit me to laugh in your face. Hahahahaha. Heh. Hahahahahaha. 1. I can easily except that and have made no such statement. 2. I never said you should stop listening to Modest Mouse. 3. The lyrics you presented were hardly off-the-wall. 4. I didn't call you an indie ****. 5. How am I hipster? This should be fun. Oh and please. Stop reshaping my words. Attack them if you wish. That's different. And so much more fun! Soundgarden - One Minute of Silence Sweet Bliss.

Heh. You know, Pedersen, in all reality, my behaviour is quite often an opinionated act. And I'm gay for Russell. And most of the stuff I listen to is on "Indie" labels. But I do like playing with people on the internets. And the so called Indie Subculture is still pretty rotten, conformist and centred on what's popular. Their opinion is still influenced by MTV and VH1 and all the other things they hate. They're contrarians. And I feel that music should be seen from a more detachted perspective. And felt. Feeling the music is the most important part of the experience. It is the common courtesy of the religious fundamentalist, the atheistic militant and the political idealist, all humans whose heads are so up their buttocks they can smell the sweet fragrant of fecal mush. Shellac - Rambler Song
