I never said *I* liked pirates. I said I knew girls who did. Mind you, now that I think about it, it's pretty incriminating that I happen to have an eyepatch in my desk drawer. IT'S NOT MINE, I SWEAR! I brought it to work for an actual legit reason that I now forget. Honestly, you'd have a MUCH better shot with me if you showed up on my doorstep dressed up as a Jedi. Especially if you look like Atton.

Better yet, Atton in Jedi robes. What can I say, Atton's hot, and I've always had a thing for guys in Jedi robes. All in all, I did like KOTOR 2 better than KOTOR 1... well, I must have, because I've played it much more often. I think it was all the little things that I liked... stuff like how when you pick up a datapad, it automatically opens up on your screen... or once you've already searched a footlocker, it then says "empty". Cooler Force powers, cooler features. If I hadn't loved the game this much, I wouldn't still be on this forum. And as much as it sometimes gave me a really hard time, and yes, made me curse at my TV/PC (depending on which copy I was using... yes I have both versions), the influence thing is a brilliant idea, and I loved the way certain scenes could only be seen if you had a certain amount of influence, or more influence over one character than over another.

*bows head in shame*Yeah, ditto. Hence the fanfic I've been writing. Actually, I was pretty much a groupie from the moment he started making comments about the Exile's underwear. I was like "Well, Carth's a sweetheart, but this guy has some serious potential!" But no, I don't think there's ever an opportunity for the Exile to say anything positive to Atton. I figured at first, sure she'll give him a hard time, but she'll come around... not so. Even when Aaaaah, well... what can you do.

Actually, to be fair, he doesn't actually try to get into the Exile pants... because as he tells Atton, he doesn't view relationships as "carnal". " As a fighter, he's QUITE decent. As a love interest... ew, ew, EW!!! (Not that he really goes there, of course.) And of course, there's Atton who worships you from afar, but never actually says anything. Just what exactly is wrong with guys in that game?? What is this, high school?

They should be pretty easy to spot. They're the ones in the video store standing in front of copies of "Pirates of the Carribean", drooling.

There's also helping out the Czerka vs. helping out the Ithorians. On that basis alone, I thought that Citadel Station was almost completely different. While I don't generally like playing DS, I did develop a bit of a taste for the DS force powers. I felt so... evil. And my character started looking like this crazy goth chick... and I dragged Atton down with me! So yeah, it's pretty different... not like it's a completely different game of course, but different enough to be worth replaying. And if you want it to be even more different, you can always select a different gender for your Exile.

You should consider it. I know a few girls who have a thing for pirates.

What I thought was funny the first time I played LS and she was asking about Atton and I told her that there was no such relationship between Atton and the Exile, she replied "Good to know," and I earned influence with her. I was like, "Good to know??? What, is she going to make a play for Atton or something?" I wasn't impressed.

Yeah, she said the spice thing... I think the options I was given were "It's the Force" and "I don't chew spice". If you select the "I don't chew spice" one, she doesn't touch the topic of Atton/Disciple. However if you select the Force answer, she does. I really don't know if there's a difference if you have very high influence... I've gotten that answer from her every time I played LS, but then again I generally have really high influence with Atton, except for this game where I apparently have medium influence with Atton, and really high with Disciple. (*shudder*)

Yup... I was pretty damn horrified, I must admit... especially considering the other times she always asked about whether there was something going on with Atton, so that's what I was expecting. I had the shudders for a solid 5 minutes after. I think this happens if you're far enough on the LS... You know, the same way the other party members comment on your glow or on how you're an inspiration to everybody... But yeah, basically, the first time I'd talk to Mira, she'd say something about there having a glow about me... you answer that it's the Force, and she's all "Oh. Yeah, see, I just thought there was something going on with you and Atton/Disciple." The conversation is actually quite funny if you keep playing innocent and pretend you don't know what she's talking about. I just thought she automatically asked about you and Atton, but this time she asked about Disciple. Gaaaaaaaah! *shudder* I thought I had boosted up my influence over Atton, but apparently I did a poor job of it. Poor Atton. So insecure. Did you ever get the cut scene with Atton and Mira, when Atton is spying on the Exile and Disciple meditating together? I just got this one for the first time, so I'm thinking it's also a higher influence with Disciple thing...

YES. I don't know why people seem to think that whining will get them what they want faster. I know if I worked for Obsidian, at this point I'd be considering not releasing the patch at all, purely out of spite. And I'm not even close to being a spiteful person. So stop complaining, already! The patch will get here when it gets here!

You mean like when they spelled Carth's last name "Onassi"? I don't know why it made me laugh so much, but it did. It also kind of took away from the melodrama of the scene.

That's basically it, yeah. I mean, Seriously though, I don't know that looking at those Atton/Disciple cut scenes I was referring to would be worth failing an exam. Finish the game (you're almost there anyway), do your exam, then start over if you really want to see them. (I only saw them on my third run through myself... and I somehow didn't manage to raise my influence with Atton enough again, so when I picked up Mira, she asked me if there was something going on between me and Disciple. ICK!!!)
