Well there's one clear reason: Most action movies are for men (most! not all) Therefore, the producers want a big crowd to watch their films so one thing leads to another....I actually prefer movies with a lead female, but who has sass and wears real clothes! Not some skimpy, slutty, bikini-like outfit. Like Princess Leia. She has sass and wears real clothes, not metal biki- well that was ONE TIME! She was Jabba's slave!

Well sure, the story is cliche', what with the 'old wise master betrayal' and all, but your previous statements were quite clear. If you you thought Bioware made good games, I doubt you would speak of " common failings". I'm sure you must have different standards of a good story, so please post them. And no freebies like Zelda or Halo. Give me a game with a story that is better then Jade Empire's, and I'll not badger you further.

.... You stupid little... Bastila is NOT a "annoying arrogant ***" in fact, that would be my definition of you. Bastila Shan is a deep, wonderful character, with excellent voice acting, and a brilliant attitude. Handmaiden and Visas are nothings compared to her. Her romance with male Revan is one of the best I've seen, along with Jade Empire's. And she is, in fact, hotter then any girlfriend then YOU could ever get.

Every game Bioware has done are all above average, and most were considered the best RPG of the year! Even best GAME of the year! If you do not think that an epic story of an evil tyrant, a wise old master, a shadowy assassin, and a woman or man who's destiny would change an Empire, with a fast paced real time combat system, the best romance options to date ( you can even be gay!), and all set in mythical China with Demons and magic, then sir, I'd love to see your definition of a good RPG.

Archmonarch, you just don't know RP's. Jade Empire had an excellent story. First off, I admit I had my suspicions of Master Li, but he still caight me off gaurd with the line, " You have learned my teachings well...even its failings." I truely felt sorry for the Prince, even though he did kill Zu. And if you didn't like the Evil ending of Empire, then you don't know what evil is.

I cried during ONE game. And that was...*drumroll* Jade Empire.* MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD* When Sagacious Zu died I cried. I cried when Master Li betrayed me. I cried when I realised Death's Hand was actually the tortured soul of Prince Kin. And Jade's " Evil" ending was actually the evilest ending of all time. Thats why Jade had me bawlin.
