  1. I'm almost certainly going to dump both. 0.8 isn't worth it imo, it was only worth it with Beloved Spirits, which is now worthless. I ended up dumping both. My melee Chanter took a melee talent instead. It's such a pity as it didn't really feel OP before and was a nice class defining talent. It helped but didn't (at least for my party setup) make it OP. I have a feeling Obsidian, for all their great intentions, have a tendency to over nerf. I mean, who in their right mind would take a talent that now only adds .4 End regen? I'd love to see a developer/designer post here to explain this nerf. Go for it!
  2. I just wanted to say, THANKS Obsidian, that was a very difficult battle but SO satisfying when I won. My final tactic was to keep all of the party far away, so they would miss the initial paralyze, allow us to build up some buffs and get off some ranged AoE and send poor Eder to talk to the banshee and get all the agro. Great fun.
  3. Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I've left it for now. I'm sticking to melee combat talents for a bit (he's a 2nd tank, does OK but needs a bit more survivability). Cheers.
  4. Ancient memory is only 0.8 to begin with. So now it's just +1 regen for two Talents. Luckily IE mod got updated so I can respec my useless Chanter. Did you just dump the Beloved Spirits talent and still take Ancient Memory or did you dump both? Cheers. EDIT: Cut out rubbish.
  5. It looks like the addon talent Beloved Spirits is trash now in 1.03 but what are people's opinion on getting Ancient Memory? Does it scale well at higher levels? Cheers! Edit: Fixed grammatical errors....(hopefully!)
  6. Thanks for the replies all, very useful info. I'm now happy with my Druid build. Now all I need to do is find a way of making some rings which increase the number of spells I can cast per rest, like those pesky Wizards and Clerics have! I guess that will be a case of waiting for some clever people to make some item mods.
  7. Thanks for the info. Yeah, thinking about it, I'm more into the spell casting, so I'll leave the shape shift talents. But regarding your point "none of the elemental enhancing talents are worth taking except for burn and maybe shock...", are you talking about talents such as Scion of Flame? I've taken the freeze and storm versions because I thought they would increase the damage of my freeze and storm spells. Isn't that correct?
  8. That's a good point re the elemental damage talents (EG. Scion of Flame). I've already picked the freeze and storm versions, I guess they will effect many of my spells. I'm really on the fence whether to take any telent which improves my bear shape shift or not. I've seen a couple of posts where people say they're not useful mid/late game. I'm guessing they won't scale well, as we can't add equipment to buff our shape shift, only buff via those talents.
  9. I'm looking for advice from people who had a Druid in their party mid/late game. Did you find the Shape shifting still worth using? And did any of you pick the Wildstrike talents (the one which adds some elemental damage to the shape shift). Thanks!
  10. I'm starting to lose faith in Obsidian. How can I dump Ancient Memory and Beloved Spirits talents? Is the only way to use the IE Mod and re-level? I don't care about Steam achievements but I'm a bit concerned it may screw up my save game in some other way.
  11. This must be a joke aye? They wouldn't fix the companion attributes and not make it retroactive?
  12. Does anyone know a way of editing an item? I guess it's all compiled and in hex though? EG. Change Telda's Ring, currently only usable by a Wizard, to also be usable by Druids?
  13. Well I hope modders hurry up and make something to fix this insanely frustrating lack of Druid +spell per rest items. It may not seem a big issue but playing all the classics (BG 1/2, NWN 1/2 etc), I've always searched out all the +spell per rest items for my PC, it's an major part of my play style. And to find out they didn't bother making any for the Druid, it very much pi$$es me off.
  14. It really does my head in when I see itemisation like this. If anyone has seen items which increase the number of spells a Druid can cast per day (just like the Wizard and Cleric have), please post here. Ta.
  15. Jeeesh, I hope there are some, my PC Druid is mainly a caster. It doesn't make any sense for Wizards and Clerics to have these kinds of items but not Druids. I hate when devs screw up itemisation.
  16. I noticed some rings for sale which gives, some increasing the number of spells per rest for Wizards and there was another one which did the same for Cleric. Are there Druid versions in the game? Cheers.
  17. Yes, I've tried using it that way just now and it is indeed not so bad, especially if the Wizard has a high INT -- but I still don't see why the nerf was necessary. I guess if they increased the casting range by a lot, it might work out to more or less even. Right now, the only time when I really need to cast it on my own allies is when the enemies have gotten past Eder and are interspersed with the party. If the Wizards can stand further from the battle, this won't be that much of a problem. I partly agree, but if you do the math, 0.4 is pretty worthless no matter how you slice it. Also, any Endurance regen is a double-edged sword: it hides the fact that you're taking damage so you might not break out the big spells and only figure out that you've just spent half of party health on a single battle after the fact. Yep, if I knew that talent would only increase the regen by .4, I definitely wouldn't have taken it. Oh well, it's still a great game, hopefully they'll add a respec option (or I may risk using a mod) at some point.
  18. "Beloved Spirits adds 0.4 Endurance to Ancient Memory instead of 2." Was that really needed? I picked up Beloved Spirits for my Chanter companion and haven't noticed it being OP. So now this talent (and you don't get many of them) only adds an extra .4 endurance? Doesn't that make it completely useless?
  19. Thanks for the info re Vessels. And oh crap, I just took the brilliant radiance (completely ignoring Madscientist's post!), doh! Hmmm, maybe I have a save from earlier or, just perhaps, maybe Obsidian can fix this bug?! *faints*
  20. Thanks for your reply. I guess the wildstrike series only are supposed to effect the shapeshift attacks but it would be nice to get a confirmation from a dev. But I agree, it would make sense the Scion of Flame (and other versions such as shock) should effect spells. I did do some tests but the combat logs don't display any extra damage when I do spells from the SoF talent. But, saying that, one of my Druid fire spells (can't remember the name but it's the 2nd level fire spell) did 41 damage when the spell description displays max 37, so maybe it is working.
  21. I was just wondering if you've done any more testing with this? I was about to level up Durance and take Brilliant Radiance but then found your post which puts me off taking that talent. Thanks. EDIT: And re the non upgraded Holy Radiance, it says it only works vs vessels. What the heck are they?!
  22. I just had to say, I really like your avatar photo - one of the best zombie films ever made.
  23. I have some questions regarding some talents; 1. Do the talents Scion of Flame (the extra burn damage part) and Wild Strike Burn (the Druid class talent) stack? 2. And does the 20% burn damage part of Scion of Flame boost my Druid fire spells? Cheers!
