  1. Rugby players are weak midgets You can't compare those weaklings to the 6'2''-6'10'' 300+ pounds (of muscle) monsters, who can sprint faster than most people on earth, that play football. all natural of course. who said anything about steroids...? :D btw, most europeans have no respect at all for american athletes. balco, the drug infested so called 'professional' sports(nba, nhl, nfl, mbl...) etc etc. do the rest of the world a favour and stay away from football. the real football. we don't need your fat, ugly middle aged supporters and your constant commercial breaks and your drug abuse...
  2. Well at least they won't be out of work " There experience should fit nicely on a resume <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i knew it. it couldn't be the sport itself. it is just too damn boring...
  3. Kansas go bye-bye! http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051108/ap_on_...volution_debate
  4. NO! even though it is star wars, it has to be sort of believable. no over the top cliches or life changing moments. things has to happen gradually and naturally. you start of as a bad as sith guy who begins to question his own faith, then later stuff happens and he either continues to kick ass or become ms.goody two shoes...
  5. 1st of all, tyre was never destroyed, as the prophecy said. it is still here. so either the prophecy is dead wrong or meant to be interpreted figuratively(which is highly unlikely). 2nd, you're interpreting the bible. i thought you said you took everything literally.
  6. infidels is, in spite of its name, a very good and informative site. of course, they are biased, but they always argue objectively and back their claims up with solid evidence.
  7. like i said; i have no problems with most christians as they don't interpret everything in the bible literally. i.e. most catholics believe evolution to be a fact and not contradictory to their beliefs. fundamentalists, however, are in some ways dangerous and needs to be confronted. same goes for every other religion...
  8. Well... I was thinking it was going ok until the vampire episode. Theres the possibility for some interesting stories with Brainiac in there now. I am getting tired of the whole "I can't tell Lana, she'll think I'm a freak and hate me forever" crap Clark keeps spouting, even though whenever one of his friends finds out they're totally cool about it. Even Lex for that one episode he knew about it. He just needs to bite the bullet and tell her so we can stop groaning at her bitching about his secrets and his moaning about how its so hard keeping secrets from her. Anyway, who do you think should be the next DC universe cameo? I'm surprised they haven't even mentioned Bruce Wayne. It would be easy enough to just slip in a couple references to Wayne Enterprises. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> bruce wayne or maybe one of the green lanterns, but the former wouldn't be much of a stretch. some sort of entanglement with lex' company...
  9. thing is, i don't mind christians as long as they aren't fundamentalist nutjobs who take everything in the bible literally. contradictions in the bible: http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com/contra/by_name.html http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/jim...radictions.html
  10. heard of the 'tyre prophecy'...? if you really take everything in the bible literally, the tyre prophecy is definately wrong.. http://www.infidels.org/library/magazines/.../2/992tyre.html
  11. Okay. Well, there's those mentioned in the Bible, but I guess you wouldn't call that secular. If you bother to take into consideration the sheer amount of people who recorded his existance mentioned in the Bible and histories (such as Eusebius), you could count that. Pontius Pilate definitely existed. Some of his Apostles are known to have actually existed. Unless you want to say it was a mass conspiracy of 12+ men who were so psychotic they were willing to die for their beliefs. Heck, Peter was crucified upside-down for it! Paul spent years and years in prison for it. And think about this: if the man never existed and was not crucified, the people would have known this, especially the Roman government. To my knowledge, Romans never denied he existed, either, once Christianity started to spread. They were primarily concerned with stopping its spread. I doubt a man who never existed would cause that much controversy. In fact, one of the reasons for the Roman's persecution of Jesus and Christians was the fear that they would incite rebellion in Empire. There's also the historical artifacts such the shroud of Turin. Also, don't forget the ancient Roman arrest warrant for a Jesus of Nazareth (in the latin, it goes something like "Yeshua de Nazarine", but I'm no Latin expert) There was also another artifact (can't remember exactly what it was) that was inscribed as belonging to Joseph, brother of Jesus. There are others. I unfortunately can't recall/find the rest. But if I recall more and you wish to hear it, I'll try to post it. I'll try to post some links as well so people don't think I'm making this all up. And mind you, I never said "proof", just "evidence", and that is what this is. A lot of people don't deny his existance. Most doubters just don't believe he was the Son of God. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> nonsense. there aren't any secular 'clear cut' proof that jesus ever existed. he is first mentioned by josephus, but that is, at least in parts, a forgery. other than that, he isn't mentioned until about a century later and that is too late. there aren't any conclusive proof that jesus ever existed, but there aren't anything disproving it either. the question is very much unanswered... http://www.infidels.org/library/historical...eally_live.html
  12. “One man's religion is another mans' belly laugh.” ~Isaac Asimov “Men willingly believe what they wish.” ~Julius Caesar <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "your beliefs are retarded!" - random evil guy :D
  13. probably mentioned a bunch of times already, but this is a bit funny: http://www.venganza.org/
  14. sure, you could chose to believe the earth is flat and the moon the world's largest cheese wheel, but it is still pretty stupid imo...
  15. another poll: http://www.usatoday.com/tech/science/2005-...nterpiece_x.htm this was very interesting, but hardly a surprise:
  16. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/10/22/...ain965223.shtml a bit worrying to see that most americans prefer religion/fairy tale to real science...
  17. it's not completely dry just yet. i liked the fact that clark have met both aquaman and the flash.
  18. house is good and smallville is, well, superman! kind of anyway... the shows i'm watching is: family guy, battlestar, stargate, entourage, prison break, west wing and house. in addition, i try to catch the daily show when i can...
  19. ignorance on a subject is not the subjects fault " actually, i think the fact that i'm not ignorant on this subject is what makes me think said sports are DULL! the two are just too plain and simple. no variety or flow. too many breaks and such... however, i'll probably watch the spurs match tonight. it's on here tonight and i kind of like the spurs. go manu!
  20. except, apparently, Dallas To show soccer how exciting a sport can be " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> soccer? ...and don't lie to me, i've actually seen a baseball game and an american football game. exciting is probably the last adjective i'd used to describe said sports.
  21. now that battlestar galactica and stargate are off until january, i need my weekly dose of sci fi from somewhere else. which of these new shows do you prefer and why? edit: ...and don't mention lost, because it just annoys me. tedious, no progress and a ton of unanswered quastions. bah!
  22. basketball is pretty boring, but still ten times better than baseball and american football. what the hell is the point of those two?
  23. screw sid meier and his crappy civ4! tried just about everything now to no avail. there is litterally no difference between playing a huge map with graphic settings high or a small map with the graphic settings as low as possible... AAAAAAAAARGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!
  24. well, the main character has to be 'important', otherwise the story would be relatively meaningless. whether he is 'chosen' or not, is, imo, a bit irrelevant.
  25. i've said it before and i'll say it again, one should start off as a sith this time around. would really be a fresh aproach to the star wars universe. see things from their perspective and eventually decide whether to go good or continue to be bad...
