  1. No, your thinking is correct. The games would be locked on our Steam accounts until someone at Valve hits the big red unlock button, roughly 50 hours from now (or more?). The only advantage of getting our keys early is that Steam might start allowing us to preload the game soon.
  2. I don't understand the negativity surrounding multiplayer here. With the exception of Planescape Torment, all of the Infinity Engine RPGs had co-op multiplayer features, and they were all fun to LAN (sometimes even fun playing online on Gamespy, if you could find a good group). Pillars is a party-based RPG, so allowing other players to control certain party members wouldn't necessarily hurt the game in any way - outside of budgetary constraints. Personally, I don't mind that Pillars is singleplayer only, but multiplayer can be a lot of fun in games like this.
  3. Bao-Dur is good with whatever you made him good with. But I think he does do bonus damage when unarmed. He is not good with rifles.
  4. Do jedi have those kind of relations? Yes. It's called pulling a Bindo. Pulling a...Bindo? Bad joke. Bald guy. Long story. Best line of the game.
  5. Try hugging the right wall as you enter the battle. Then your guys are less likely to see the other mercs.
  6. So Candy was getting red-hot while riding Marlin Brando...bad mental image. Anyway, if they did use the molelobster for K2, it's not as if we would have seen it in motion. They couldn't really have a movie scene of the player character riding it down to the surface, because you can't have the player character in the scene - unless they made a scene for each player model, or at least for each other character you take with you. They might have done it in a cutscene, but it wouldn't have looked good. Probably the best they could have done was to make it another turret sequence. And before anyone says that they could have those movie scenes it if they didn't rush it, just remember that due to Lucasart's release date, they would have had to have removed something else to have enough time to finish those scenes. As it is, it works. I'm sure that most of the players would have no idea what it is supposed to look like, so there shouldn't be a problem. And if Lucasart's really cared about what it was supposed to look like, they would have changed it while they were playtesting it.
  7. I found it easier if my characters had ranged weapons. That way they won't run off and get killed, and don't have to fight too many people at a time.
  8. Or they knew it was going to be cut anyway and didn't finish it... And about Decissus - you can listen to his sound files in folders 304-305 (sorry if thats old).

  10. I think only dark side regenerate force point in the tomb. Try raising your repair skill for more components.

  12. This is why those two number flip cards are good (the ones that say 2/4 or whatever). Use them to bring you down to a very low total, and then fill up the slots for an automatic win.
  13. You will always be missing one from the list. It will lbe the power of the opposite alignment that you get on Dantooine. Female characters will miss two, as they don't get battle precognition, afaik.
  14. Hardest??? I was just playing as a DS guardian, and turned Bao-Dur straight away. 1 influence gain from helping him on Telos, and the 2nd - and final - gain from telling the thugs to jump in the well on Nar-Shadaa. That was it. Instant Jedi.
  15. All three times I've averaged around 26. Is it true that the random items are better the higher your level? It seems like it, and if it is true, why would they put all these lvl 50 items in the game, when (without glitches) you can only reach around lvl 30? This game I'll try to reach a higher level, and also use blasters/rifles the whole game - no lightsabers or forcepowers (except heal, and only for party members).
