  1. I've gone for Maxing Might, Int, and Resolve. No dump stats, so everything else is around 10. I want max duration for my effects and max might for damage and my Moon Godlike heals. Then Resolve helps with Deflection and concentration. Figured those are the best three to focus on and so far it has been pretty easy before I got stuck here. I did not think it though too much, still got a long way to go with my main party I just wanted to see what was involved for solo and do it while I still remembered everything about the locations Anyway, edited my previous post becasue I finally managed it Thanks for the advice
  2. Anyone have nay tips for how to do this room? I have 3x fire traps and the figurine. Playing with Cipher level 4. with the figurine you should be able to position yourself in the corner in a way that they cant reach you, from there 4 scrolls of fan off flames should be able to kill them all, as a cipher you should also try to be mind controlling them Thanks ! Got 1st first time.... Mostly. One Shadow dodged all the fan of flames, and trolled me with daze so I had to quit. Cant get that far in any subsequent attempt. I think my figurine managed to absorb 2 fan of flames the first time round which helped. I am trying whisper of treason but it does not seem effective for this size mob. I aggro with Psycovampiric shield and pull them to a trap where I cast my figurine so they bunch up before I run though, then I run into the corner. I usually do not take damage from this. Then I use mark of nature and mind blades and start spamming fire fans. I always end up to at least one guy alive who stunlocks me :/ EDIT: Whoohoo! Got it For any other Ciphers out there: Start Aggro with bow (target phantom) or eyestike (target shadow) . Pull mob into corner by the front door. You will get there before the phantoms. Quickly summon your figurine (and swap weapons if you were ranged, need large fine shield). Now NB, the space is big enough for two people, so place your figurine warrior next to you in the corner. Now you can fan on flame the group without hitting him. Mark of nature recommended before you start with the fan of flame. If you run out of flames and there are one or two enemies left then stunlock with mental binding (1 opponent) or use whisper of treason (2 enemies). My figurine survived to the end, and I could stunlock the last phantom

  4. I don't have enough free time to play so my game progress is limited so I don't know what effects some of the weapons have but if you add added stats and effects 2 weapons will catch up. Also the elemental damage and such helps with the dr We'll need a full-blown dps calculator with a character builder (including enchants and gear) that could run simulations within user-defined scenarios (starting with single-target would be easiest) to know for sure, but off the cuff I'd say dual-wielding fast weapons makes the most sense for when you want to maximize effects that proc on hit (like the cipher's draining whip) that aren't percentage-based (all of the rogue abilities and features are percentage-based). If you'd want to maximize interrupt chance, then you'd want to dual-wield fast weapons (not saying that focusing on making an interrupt character is optimal). There's also items in the game with unique enchants that may make you consider dual-wielding. It's different from D&D because there's basically no flat modifiers to damage (Ranger's Marked Prey is not a flat damage increase, btw) and the damage reduction system favors heavy hits (because that IS a flat modifier to damage). So classic archetypes (like a high dps dual-wielding stealthy rogue) are not favored by the game's mechanics. I am trying to decide my next talent for my Rogue since I am not getting nay class talents. I have been using the Estoc up to now because the percentage multiplier means greater sneak attack damage on my 1st hit, even if it is slower for subsequent sneak attacks. Now however I want to choose an offensive talent and I am unsure what is best for damage. I did tests with dual Stilletos and I got the exact same sneak attack damage output per round (36 vs 18x2) and since I have high perception I get more interrupts I guess. So I am torn between taking a Two Handed Style for harder hits or taking two weapon style for better attack speed and committing to that style when I am unsure which is better in the long run. This thread has suggested that rogues actually do better with their sneak attack with 2h weapons when encountering higher DR enemies? PS. I gave Scion of the Flame to my Priest and it did not seem to affect his Radiance or fire based spells
  5. Hahahaha thank you. Yes I had a debuff. Turns out my lack of points to athletics made me sleepy earlier than Eder and I was doing all the tests from that point. Now I feel silly, but also have a clearer understanding of how this aspect works. Thank you
  6. Thank you! I had a quick look at the character creation again and the numbers are still base 30 for both fighters and rogues. But it seems clear that dex no longer influences it. Thank you or confirming this. It still seems strange though that my fighter (and ranger) has 10 more accuracy than me with the Estoc since base levels are the same and using the same weapons without bonuses I can see.
  7. So I did some forum searching and apparently Accuracy is calculated as class base + [{level-1} * 3] + Dexterity Now Rogues and fighters have 30 base accuracy and Fighters, but Eder is kicking mu but with accuracy even though I have 17 dex, and I gave him the estoc I am using just to rule out the influence of the weapons. At level 4 he has 43 accuracy with Fine Estoc and I only have 33. I checked talents and everything and there is no reason for his huge bonus. Also does dexterity influence accuracy at all? The Manuel linked to steam is clearly incorrect bu even according to this formula I should have a bigger bonus than Eder. On that note, according to the manual Perception influences the range of spells. Is that correct?
