Geez, I enjoyed the romances.

How about this as a fair solution - put romances in, but don't make them madnatory. This way, those who want romance as part of the story get it, and those that don't, don't have to?

There, now everyone is happy.

They weren't mandatory in KOTOR1 either...

I know, which is why I don't get why people complain about them - you didn't have to do them...

You can even get SP down with a lot of hard facts. He is the boss enemy of discussions

SP is reasonable, at least compared to the Taliban out there and he makes valid points mostly. The reason some don't usually get along is that he's pro console, or at least not anti-console as some are. That usually leads to creative interpretation of "facts" etc on both sides then things get sticky.

In some cases in some games, the romances seem kind of forced on you. KOTOR was probably better at not doing that than BG2 was.

Maybe they could have a Romances on/off option in settings or something. That'd probably screw with dialogue script though.

The BG2 romances mostd efinitely weren't fored on people, and theys ure didn't seem to be either. KOTOR was "worst" than that since Bastila was a amjor chaarcter that the story needed. Heck, in BG2 you could either ignore the romancables altoegther or kill them ouright, or just be friends. Most definitely not what i call forced upon you.

I didn't mind the romances in BG2 or KotOR. They were explorable and ignorable. The best set up there is when it comes to role playing options.

<_< Depends on what difficulty setting you had...

Btw, I thought the Bastila romance was deep...it's the Carth one that needed fixing... <_<

Blame it on Mr. Calder. ;)

I see Mr. Calder has been investigating the archives.

He casually added to this thread like he didn't

even notice the 6 month gap between the last post

and his reply. ;)

A bold move, hope it plays out.

i hope that KOTOR 2 is longer and there are more charcter portraits to choose from.

that would be nice. i would like to have the same kind of humor that was in planescape: torment...

Or he just wanted the same quality of humor.
