Boeroer Posted May 6, 2018 Posted May 6, 2018 (edited) Hi y'all, let's assume I made a char build for Deadfire and not only wanted to share it's data and backstory, but also stuff like portrait, watercolor portrait and maybe even voice set (like the critical role stuff I assume?). A bit like Sidekick light. Would that be possible? With a mod? Or otherwise? I remember the days of Icewind Dale and such where you simply could export/share/import characters you made. While this is no official thing in Deadfire there might still be a way to share "custom" adventurers... I hope. This would make creating/posting/sharing char builds a more complete process/experience and also fun I guess. Edited May 6, 2018 by Boeroer 4 Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
Boeroer Posted May 6, 2018 Author Posted May 6, 2018 No modders here who know that stuff? @MaxQuest? Deadfire Community Patch: Nexus Mods
Lipschitz Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 This sounds amazing! I'd love to be able to do this.
dunehunter Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 (edited) Obsidian should really add the game to steam workshop, it has so much potential. Actually I’m surprised this feature is not in, is that because there’s no time for steamshop support ? Edited May 21, 2018 by dunehunter
interbeing Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 (edited) I'd also love this... What if someone were to set up a initial savegame repository on a website or cloud drive with the other assets (and instructions as to where to place the files)? Would that be a 2nd best alternative if it's not possible to create an actual mod? If people were to load a save they could change the portrait and voice if they liked. A wiki with file attachments might work. Edited May 21, 2018 by interbeing
