Is Concelhaut going to be "alive" and well in Deadfire? I love his character and was hoping to see him again in the new game. I'm assuming this is possible considering you can go through an entire playthrough of the original without killing him. It all depends on what Obsidian considers canon.

I don't think anyone knows for sure. One of the three announced expansions involves a convocation of Arch Mages so, assuming their alive, Concelhaut and Llengrath might attend. That said they kinda hate each other and Concelhaut doesn't seem like the sort to attend get togethers so who knows.

There's also the fact that the pet item you get from defeating him is outright stated to be his phylactery, which means he has a good chance of coming back.
