Compare with weapon bonus like attack speed, lash, wound, proc on hit, sneak attack, soul whip and etc, the way to boost PL is limited, only nature godlike, death godlike(too situational), ascendant, subclass wizard(most of wizard subclass is not so good atm) can boost PL, we need more buff, passive talent that can help casters doing damage.

 

For example make talent like Scion of flame +PL with fire spells, or allow Concentration to +PL.

How about changing the elemental talents to +1 PL with abilities with the appropriate elemental keyword?

 

I'd guess there'll be gear with +PL.

There might be gears +PL, and there definitely gears +melee too. I just give suggestion based on things we can see now :)

I’d like PL to make more of a difference, first and foremost—and I know you agree with this, already ;)

 

As mentioned in the tiers thread, the Fighter ability should probably be +2 PL.

 

Passives with +PL would be great, but +1 PL is pretty weak—I probably wouldn’t spend a talent point on less than +2; even then, if PL isn’t made to be more impactful, I’d probably only take the passive if it was +2 PL and something else.

 

I like the elemental talents as +1 penetration. Once they fix key wording, they’ll go well with summoned weapons, wildstrike, some bombs and a number of spells (Caleb confirmed they’re on it; no word on whether Wildstrike will be affected but we’ll see.)

How much damage is +2 PL anyway ? if there is not a helmet even coming close to that boost then nature godlike and some builds of death godlike becomes the best with difference ?
