Playing a Trickster/Sharpshooter. The only ranger in the party is me, but I'm running around with two lions for...some odd reason. Only one of them is clickable, the other is just kind of there. Not sure how long it's been going on, honestly--just noticed it during the last combat with the Laguefeth chief. Both were attacking visually, but there was to much going on in the combat log for me to be able to tell if both were actually "attacking", although they went down separately on the battlefield.

Thank you!

The same happens to me always. When I start a ranger it's fine. But when I load a ranger savefile the companion has duplicated itself. you can only control and attack with one the other one is just there visually (walking around but not attacking or anything)

I say leave this bug in :p I have had time to grow attached to my Bear companion's perpetually confused and lost doppleganger wandering about

Whenever I hire an adventurer and class them as a ranger, I get this bug after leveling them up.

Aloth massages his temples, shaking his head.

Hey everyone,

Thanks for the info! We appreciate you taking the time to upload a save file and logs. We are aware of an issue where loading a save file sometimes causes Ranger Animal Companions to duplicate. We are working to address this and will hopefully see this issue resolved in a future beta build. Thanks again for the feedback!

I've found this two. Sometimes the double animal companion is a ghost which doesn't interact, and sometimes it's a real critter which engages in combat and can be killed.
