0 Vinceicarus Posted September 16, 2017 Author Posted September 16, 2017 Nevermind, just learnt about the single item thingy. Not a bug You can close this.
0 Jenceslav Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 I would disagree that the 1-card-of-one-type rule is responsible. First, the damage is done before the combat check, so it is a different time. Other thing would be if you tried to prevent damage from failing combat check. Then the rule would kick in. Secondly, the ring has a clause of "you may use another item on this check"... Seems like a proper bug. 1
0 Hannibal_PJV Posted September 17, 2017 Posted September 17, 2017 Before the encounter, During the check, and After the encounter are three separate instances of damage in this case, and so can have something reduce the damage to each one. Note that because they are separate instances, you can play an armor on each one, or an item on each one, or a spell on each one, as it does not kick in the 'one card of each type per person per step/check' rule. But when you asseble you combat and chose the skill untill the damage phase Are one instances so between those the one card of its type limit aply.

"Before you act" issues pop up from time to time and have been periodically fixed over the last year. From the "outside" it is difficult to guess if the problem is with individual cards, or the game engine itself. But since it feels like BYA problems have been addressed on a case-by-case basis, and the remaining issues appear concentrated in AD5/AD6/ADG1, it is probably a logic bug with specific cards.
