Question

Posted

So, the app was working fine a few months ago but I had to uninstall it to make space on my phone. Redownloaded it recently but the description for powers in the character screens were in pink blocky unreadable font. Tried resetting my phone and now, the descriptions doesn't appear at all.

Phone: Acer Liquid T02

Android Version: 5.1

Already tried changing Effects settings, restarting the app and restarting the phone.

Exact same problem here, and I also noticed that dialogues in scenario are blank.

Probably a problem with the latest update, because it worked totally fine yesterday, and today I had to update the app, that's when the problems started.

Phone: BQ Aquaris M5

Android 6.0.1

Also tried restarting app and phone but it did not solve the problem.

Android Samsung Galaxy S6. Currently not home to test on steam version.

You've heard of all talk and no action? Well...

I dub this the No Talk All Action update.

Indeed, it would seem that all the reported problems have come from Android users. Don't know exactly how anything changed in the update could result in something like this, but it's been more than a day now, hopefully the devs can expedite a patch.

Or any other issues for that matter...

Update:

We discovered this morning there were users with graphics corruption (missing text/awesome pink text) that we narrowed down to only ASTC phones.  A quick tidbit, Android supports six different texture compressions depending on what chipset your device is using.

We checked out internal builds again and everything was working.  Believe it or not, Google is still pretty much the Wild West of platforms.  Their basic rule of three for apps that get uploaded:  No Porn, No Viruses/Malware, App must launch.  That's basically it.

So the ASTC build went in with the other five and "All was well".  Except that it wasn't.  Somewhere between our upload and the user's download the build got corrupted but still launched.

We remade the EXACT same build that was uploaded, changed the build number, and it worked fine.

BUT, and this is the big thing, something almost always goes wrong and NEVER do a patch on a Friday.  When it goes wrong, we have to fix it quickly, and weekends are kind of nice to not be at work.

So we truly hope that everything is fine but if there is anything nasty, we are on call to fix it.

I was also the one that made the call to do a Friday patch, so if **** goes bad, it is on me.

The latest patch works for me, I do not encounter those problems any more. You are free to enjoy your week-end ;-)

Thanks for fixing it quickly!
