IndiraLightfoot Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) Hi y'all! I just realized something pretty obvious: You recall those soul-containing towers of yore, like the one in Defiance Bay in the Undying Heritage quest line? Well, the ornaments on soul container are in many ways quite similar to the architectural design of this... It just makes me want to visit that temple even more! Discuss! floredon Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) I see that, wonder if this is coincidence or if there is a lore connection. Edited January 26, 2017 by floredon
Ashen Rohk Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I'm not convinced on that by this picture, the towers look like minarets that are a staple of Middle Eastern architecture. https://fig-images.imgix.net/https%3A%2F%2Fd3pylr1apgoxnh.cloudfront.net%2Fcampaign_images%2Fimages%2F51dab0e806b01ac57b6df8d42014a572be4d9556%2Foriginal.jpg%3F1485378595?ixlib=rails-2.1.3&w=960&h=540&fit=min&auto=format%2Ccompress&s=5185e3f4130cd2404966e3b967609da0 This one, however... 1 You read my post. You have been eaten by a grue.
Messier-31 Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 I'm with Ashen on this one, the similarity is way off my dear Indira. But probably there is some adra involved (the tiles). It would be of small avail to talk of magic in the air...
IndiraLightfoot Posted January 27, 2017 Author Posted January 27, 2017 Hmm, I'm fixated on those ornaments. Also, look at that minor support down in the right hand corner, those are the same leaf patterns which we see on the temple below. Then we have the flower-like pattern to the right of the soul tower on the floor, with two bulging leaves and one long stem with a circular flower - rather similar to what's repeated on that temple. I'd hazard a guess and say they are about as old and culturally related, if not the same. *** "The words of someone who feels ever more the ent among saplings when playing CRPGs" ***
Fardragon Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Kana Rua's personal quest suggests a connection between the amaua and the ancient engwithans. 1 Everyone knows Science Fiction is really cool. You know what PoE really needs? Spaceships! There isn't any game that wouldn't be improved by a space combat minigame. Adding one to PoE would send sales skyrocketing, and ensure the game was remembered for all time!!!!!
