1) yes, it is correct.

The Gale Armour inconsistency must be a bug, but I don't know whether it's Light or Heavy. There two ways to find out: one you won't like (find out whether it Banishes if Merisiel tries to Bury it for Damage reduction), the other is safe (see whether Merisiel can Recharge it during Reset).

In all honesty, this doesn't prove anything besides what Trait the programmer took to be true...

Yep, it could also be that is a Light Armor with Heavy Armor behavior. In other words you can recharge it freely and it doesn't apply the penalty without heavy armor proficiency (but you can't bury it in that case)

Yes, and some corrections as typos. For instance, Superior Leather Armour had IIRC exactly the same identity crisis, but was errata'd to Light. The question if whether this is a common error (from template copy/paste perhaps), or intentional. I don't have my physical game to hand to be able to check (if indeed Gale Armour is in the physical game - it's not in the errata file so I couldn't check the text)

Rogue ape is a sentient being.  It's not like a rogue elephant. "Rogue" is its class. Hence the Rogue trait on the card.
