La1cajun Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Hi guys, just want to know why there are always 2 more locations than the amount of toons in your party. The real rules are 1 more location than amount of people playing. So 3 characters you would put out 4 locations. All of them in the game for iOS is 2 more locations than characters . This makes the game really hard and I think messes up the balance. Is it supposed to be that way or do they need to fix it. Thanks.
Brainwave Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 It's supposed to be 2 more than the number of characters, that's how it was in the physical game. 1
Dunesparrow Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Hey there. Which 'real rules, are you referencing? From the latest rule book available on Paizo.com: Set Out the Locations. The back of a scenario card lists the locations the scenario uses; a required number of players is listed next to each location. Use all of the location cards listed up to the number of players you have. For example, if you have 3 players, you'll use all of the location cards listed for 1, 2, and 3 players, but you won't use any of the location cards listed for 4, 5, or 6 players. Put the location cards you're using faceup in the middle of the table. There are some scenarios that have a 1 for 1 ratio of locations to characters, but the majority are number of characters +2. Thanks 1
Nathan Davis Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 Dunesparrow and Brainwave are correct! But I could see how you might get confused. There's a lot to take in when you play the physical game. I know it took me over a year to figure out that you can play Cure or Augury off-turn. 2
chainsawash Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 I know it took me over a year to figure out that you can play Cure or Augury off-turn. I've played through RotR and currently playing Skulls and Shackles and I just noticed tonight that I was able to use those spells off-turn!
PinkRose Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 It took you a year, and they made you producer? I guess it's true what they say about producers. 1
