At least during Black Fang's Dungeon (I'm not sure about other scenarios), when in a location screen, just to the right of the box that says "When permanently closed" and next to any special effects that have a tiny magnifying glass next to them, there is a button with a picture of a keep and the button occasionally has a little flourish to show you can click it. However, I have no idea what it does.
I clicked it once before fighting a monster, and a message came up that said "Discard 2 cards." I didn't have any choice to undo, so I did the discard. The monster then got shuffled back into the location deck.
So clearly this looks like an evade. Is this a character specific thing? A mission specific thing? A difficulty specific thing?
And Obsidian, how about a little on screen explanation ahead of time about what this does and maybe the option to undo so that we don't have to find out the hard way that you lose the opportunity to complete your encounter and lose some cards in hand to boot?
