St Paddy Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Saying period makes you sound like an ass, mkay. Doesn't help with the point either, if anything it makes it sound less intelligent.
Exitium Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Were you trying to make a point about the subject? Because from the looks of it you sure as hell didn't. St Paddy Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Nope, just giving you advice which I'm sure everyone would agree with. You know, before you continue to do it on every post and nobody reads them anymore. Of course if you prefer I could discuss other forums which are as irrelevant as this post
Spazmo Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Actually, I did send Visceris a link to something fun. I did it because he was being--as per the norm--a moron and a pain in the ass and, in my humber estimation, he deserved it. And I don't see how it's relevant. Visceris--who was the first to send me a PM in that particular altercation, actually--didn't contact me on an official matter (he was asking me how to set up Mozilla Firebird. Never mind that it's really ****ing easy and that it's fairly clearly explained on the site, Visceris is a moron), so I didn't respond in an official capacity. It was just a personal thing: I personally felt Visceris was an asshat so I personally sent him something to reflect that opinion.
Judge Hades Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Indeed, it would certainly be a fine addition to any resume regardless of Lionheart's failure. Visceris: However, I'm not done with the previous topic. As you previously mentioned, someone on our forum (you accused Spazmo) 'spammed' you with 'gay porn'. These allegations are ones I would consider to be very serious, especially since you choose to slander the RPG Codex as an institution, which not only encourages these vile acts but also perpetrates it. I consider this to be very libellous and would like for you to present at least some shred of evidence to back up your allegations against us. I just don't think that your 'word' alone is worth much value considering the fact that you are 'unwelcome' at the popular Mistress' Lair forums for past transgressions towards its members, not to mention your not-so-recent string of arguments with J.E. Sawyer which you lost, not only made you look bad but also made you look rather foolish when you decided to insult Sawyer outright for his design decisions - highly uncalled for. I would also like to bring up the recent incident on the IPLY forum in Sean Reynolds's thread. It is the thread in which you decided to (tactlessly) flame the developer in question without making a single coherent point whatsoever. As I recall, you were banned for the very reason of SPAMMING the thread with pointless insults. It's time for you to face the facts. Period. Exitium, any proof would be on your forums there. It was PMed to me by Spazmo which I promptly deleted it then left your forums. If he sent more I don't know for I haven't been to your forums since then. Also RPG Codex is not an institution, but a bunch of thugs who insult and harass those who do not agree with your narrow viewpoints. If you don't believe me, thats your choice. I wash my hands of it. Also if I am so unwelcomed at Mistress' Lair I would be banned. I am not therefore I considered myself welcomed. Sure I get into heated debates there and many do not share my views on things but everyone is like that there. As I said, if I was unwelcomed, I would be banned. Yes, I did and I was rightly banned from ****. I dealt with my anger towards **** and it is now over. I have moved on.
Exitium Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Nope, just giving you advice which I'm sure everyone would agree with. You know, before you continue to do it on every post and nobody reads them anymore. Fair enough, St Paddy. I just hope it's clear between us that I didn't mean any disrespect to you in my reply. Saying period after each post gives the content a little character. Exitium RPG Codex - the premier avant garde gaming news site. St Paddy Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 None taken, and now I step out before it gets too hot in here :D
Judge Hades Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 And in that PM did I flame? No. In that PM did I make any lewd remarks? No. In that PM did I harass or insult? No. In that PM did I spam? No. Also with such language there Spazmo you just broke Rule #2 in these boards rules. Interesting.
Exitium Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Exitium, any proof would be on your forums there. It was PMed to me by Spazmo which I promptly deleted it then left your forums. Yes, I did and I was rightly banned from ****. I dealt with my anger towards **** and it is now over. I have moved on. The bottom line is that it was [ONE] simple, deleteable private message which you somehow managed to construe as 'mass spam gay porn' in your rant in this thread. Concerning your slander towards the RPG Codex, suffice to say it is not something I take very likely considering the amount of work and effort both myself and my colleagues have put into the website, and continue to do so. Why do you insist on spreading lies about the Codex? Granted, the answer to this question is probably due to our critical remarks (actual critical remarks as opposed to the slanderous insults you are so familiar to using on others) about your writing, whom I'm sure [MANY] would consider 'below average', especially for one such as yourself who claims to have been an English major in college. As for your ban on Interplay (which you seem to refer to as ****) you do not seem to have moved on, considering your use of the derisive term '****' as opposed to the company's proper name - Interplay. Judge Hades Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 I just got in the habit of calling them ****. Exitium, give it up. My views on RPGCodex will not change and Spazmo admited that he sent the material. It doesn't matter if he did it officially or not, he did. End of discussion.
Taoreich Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Does the personal actions of a single participant taint the integrity of the board enitre? Vis- Should we consider EDBIS an unprofessional wastland of juvenile thought based upon your kamakaze departure from the Bis-boards? Your extrapolation of the codex' general character from Spaz' rogue foolishness would support a similar boycott of your employer...
Judge Hades Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Spaz was just the final straw. The constant verbal attacks from the others poisoned me against them even more.
Tayl Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Heh, that's awesome. It scared the crap out of me for a second, though.
Taoreich Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 The wisdom of pumpkin-goatse notwithstanding, there are a few things that bear noting: -Until your reviews came under fire, you were more than willing to be a part of that community, warts and all; even going so far as to call it your new home. Only after the vitriol the codex is famous for was turned your way did it become unacceptable behavior. -On the topic of long sufferring injuries, your behavior on the Bis-boards, Bio-boards and others more than tar you with the brush of antagonism and pettiness. Thus the quetion of how far this flows down to EBIS still stands. I don't particularly care, mind you. I just tend to raise my hackles at silly, self-righteous condemnation positioned as rational thought
olaf Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 For all those of you who thinks Star Wars KOTOR2 will be good think again because all of the past games that black isle have worked on in the past were mostly overrated and were not as fun as people thought they were. There will be no change in Obsidian's habit of making bad games and there is no reason to think why they will change now because after all they haven't proven anything to us yet so don't get your hopes up. But this is just conjecture and if you have any arguments to present to show that Obsidian will make Star Wars KOTOR2 live up to the premise of Bioware's KOTOR I would like to hear your arguments and discussion. LOL I love this part'...were mostly overrated and were not as fun as people thought they were.' What would we all do without you validating our thoughts? Thanks man! olaf

It wasn't til Spazmo's PM that I decided to leave the RPGCodex.
Judge Hades Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Are you telling me that you would appreciate gay porn being PMed to you Llama? Strange.
LlamaGod Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 I'm assuming you're using AOL and have been online for about a single year. Welcome to the wastelands, dumb****.
Judge Hades Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Another person breaking the rules of these forums with personal attacks and profanity. Interesting. You didn't read the rules of the forum, did you.
POOPERSCOOPER Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Visceris, please give a review about this thread. I NEED MORE OF UR QUALITY REVIEWS>
Judge Hades Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Nice PM Pooperscooper. I guess its more behavior that I expect from the RPGCodex people. I will make sure that the admins here have a look and know where it came from.
mkreku Posted February 9, 2004 Posted February 9, 2004 Since I'm a reviewer for a large games site myself, I was wondering where I could get a chance to read the reviews of this Visceris person? Fortunately, my reviews are in swedish and since Babelfish hasn't implemented the "swedish to english" function yet, and none of you understands a word of what the swedish chef says, I'll be safe for now. I might even dare to laugh quietly to myself if the reviews are as bad as some people on these boards have hinted.. So.. Where are the masterpieces? Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
