Cant hire veterans for Battle of Yenwood

The first time I spoke with my marshal about my army for the coming battle I was told I could hire veterans for 10,000 gold without a warning. I did not have that much on me at the time, so came back after selling.  Now the marshal wont give the option to upgrade, and it doesn't seem like you would make that a one time check for a huge amount of gold. I have tried the battle without veterans and its a bleak affair.

Same problem for me

I was just about to report this bug.

Yeah, I got this one as well. I "solved" it by reloading and not picking that option in the dialogue tree so I can come back to it later when I have money.

Ha! I came to bump this because I figured it got buried over the weekend only to find a new patch already. You all are on fire, thank you.
