On level 12 of the Endless Paths, when you tell the Vithrack merchant what happened to his assistant, he gives you a velune as a reward. This item has a different icon from other velunes, doesn't stack, and appears in the 'Other' section of the stash. You can also talk to that guy again, pick the other (deceptive or honest) way to tell him, and he gives you another.

Just got this same item, NPC is Krivi.

I can confirm, I also got this weird Velune from this vithrack.

Doesn't he give you an item called "Bag of Velune".

This is what I recall - the icon looks like a bag of ground velune stone. I never sold it thinking I might want it for something like, maybe, pantaloons. (I have delete all old saves, tho.)
