Dekeon Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 So theres no weapon skills in the game mostly? So anyone can use a bow/sword/2h anything? Am I right? I see u can put points into a weapon that gives a little bonus but u have to level up to do that?
NorthernSquirrel Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 You got talents for different weapon groups. Other than that, there are no weapon skills.
PBJam Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 yep thats correct, you can equip any sorts of weapon The Unofficial Pillars of Eternity Wiki - Community/Fan Maintained!
Dekeon Posted March 29, 2015 Author Posted March 29, 2015 So my mage will use the crossbow just as good as my fighter?
NorthernSquirrel Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 So my mage will use the crossbow just as good as my fighter? It doesn't take a ****ing genius to reload a crossbow The talent makes you more accurate with it, describing proficiency with it.
dancingcrab Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 So my mage will use the crossbow just as good as my fighter? Well, technically a fighter can take specialisation and then mastery, which other classes can't. But in essence, yes, it's an even playing field. The Dude abides.
Dekeon Posted March 29, 2015 Author Posted March 29, 2015 That makes umm no sense...well combat will be easy now...give everyone a crossbow for the first sneak attack...then switch to thier reg weapons. This game needed ALOT more testing and balancing. This new car we have is awesome..but now were looking under the hood and its not a good as first thought.,

Jasta11 Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 I actually like this aspect. I was annoyed at how D&D mages were forced to have robes and slings/staves. In PoE, your mages can rock full plate armor and an arquebus. Sure, it's not a great idea because of the recovery time, but it is still pretty viable, and it makes mages different than the ''OP if spells are cast, waste of space if not'' affair that Baldur's Gate 2 had. The casters can actually pull their weight all the time in this game. 1
