number5 Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Here is the screenshot http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=414668507 All the menu items is "Missing gui xxx" (xxx is a random number), I have done the normal verifying the content integrity route, all ok. How can I solve this issue?
0 shaunti Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I have the same issue. Retina MAcbook OSX 10.10.2 -> Thunder bolt display.
0 Naithe Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I can confirm I have the same problem. Reinstalling didn't work, and checking integrity showed no errors.
0 number5 Posted April 6, 2015 Author Posted April 6, 2015 You might all have solved this but I'll document my solution just in case: the solution: Inside steamapps/common/Pillars of Eternity/PillarsOfEternity.app/Contents symlink Data to data, it needs both to work (facepalm)

Looks like Obsidian didn't test PoE with case sensitive file systems.
0 shaunti Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 What is the exact command line to run to fix this? ln -s ../Data data or something I can't figure this out. thanks.
0 shaunti Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Well, instead I fixed it by: Removing from the alternative drive I installed it on, and installed it to the root drive.
0 rhomboid Posted July 22, 2016 Posted July 22, 2016 I just have this problem, installed from the App Store, seems like what might have caused it was I had an SDXC card inserted, but it seems to have gotten corrupted/unmounted while I had the game open. Was the game storing temporary files on it?? Mac OS 10.9.5 Coincidentally does anyone know where the games saves are stored if I wanted to back them up and I'm not using time machine?

0 rhomboid Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 By the way my problem was system resource or FS correuption issue. I rebooted and fortunately the problem went away.
