Is there any village- and city ambience for instance? In BG that was singlehandedly the most important aspect of city immersion imo.

The reason I ask is I just watched some footage both from a village and from one of the bigger cities, and they were completely silent, even with a crowd of npc on the screen.

They said (on January) they would've fixed by adding crowd noise

The current backer beta has included ambient sounds to the inns and seem to have a nice overall boost to audio.

The latest backer beta has indeed added a good amount of ambient sounds so I'm not too worried on that front anymore. I also like that we can softly hear the inn music just outside the inn, just like in the Baldur's Gates. :)

Just noticed that some of the creatures in the dungeon in Stormwall Gorge (with the weird name) has a creepy ambient sound now so you can hear them before you run into them. Nice little touch and it worked wonderfully for this particular creature.

I've been playing with headphones on lately and and the ambient soundscape seem to be coming together nicely.
