Bazy Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Not really a bug per se. But you can craft scrolls that you don't have the ability (lore) to use. Just doesn't make sense.
0 cRichards Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 You can sell them or hold onto them until you get the required lore or create/find a companion who can use them. And being able to see the cool scrolls you could use might entice you to get the lore needed to unleash your magical fury.
0 Bazy Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 (edited) You can sell them or hold onto them until you get the required lore or create/find a companion who can use them. And being able to see the cool scrolls you could use might entice you to get the lore needed to unleash your magical fury. That's fine. But why can a person be able to craft something they can't use. It's like someone building a computer from scratch who doesn't know how computers work. A rogue with 0 lore can craft a scroll of magical fury that requires 9 Lore to use it. And these scrolls are enticing... they tend to be much more powerful than base class abilities. You can potentially use up to 20 scrolls per person in a fight. While a high level magic user doesn't even have that many per rest abilities. Edited February 9, 2015 by Bazy 1
0 Sensuki Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 The reason it is like this is because Crafting used to be a skill, during pre-production and production. The backers did not like it, so the skill was removed, but the mechanics remained. As a result, you can craft an item as long as you have the ingredients (which I think is fine). I don't think it matters if you can use them or not.
