Leferd
http://www.thewrap.com/interstellars-jonah-nolan-developing-foundation-series-for-hbo-wbtv-exclusive/ I grew up on Isaac Asimov. His work is unfilmable, but if anybody can get it right, it's HBO. Please, please, please get this done right. 2 "Things are funny...are comedic, because they mix the real with the absurd." - Buzz Aldrin."P-O-T-A-T-O-E" - Dan Quayle

Rosbjerg
Man, that's.. I mean, It's a great series and all, but it's very dated imo. And I think 'The Mule' might be hard to make without looking like a big fat cliche. In fact most will, as pretty much every sci-fi piece ever since has stolen everything from the story. Here's hoping though. Fortune favors the bald.

I'm not sure how it will work on television, but I sure as hell will give it a shot. I imagine they'll cut out or condense the parts where Asimov goes on 3 or 4 page long exceedingly technical explanations of things. 1 RFK Jr 2024 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks
Sarex
Have yet to read the books. I always forget about them when looking for a new series. "because they filled mommy with enough mythic power to become a demi-god" - KP

LadyCrimson
That's one of his works I've never read - not sure why, I guess I was just more into his other stuff at the time. But I'd be interested in a series to see what HBO does with it. It'd be interesting to see what I think of such, having not read them. “Things are as they are. Keyrock
Foundation is to Isaac Asimov as The Dark Tower is to Stephen King. RFK Jr 2024 "Any organization created out of fear must create fear to survive." - Bill Hicks
Sarex
Didn't read that one either. I think I started to once, but gave up. "because they filled mommy with enough mythic power to become a demi-god" - KP

Leferd
If they stay true to the spirit of the books, they'll most likely go in a serialized anthology format. Each story could take anywhere from one episode (Hari Seldon's trial) to a whole season (The Mule/Bayta Darell). The idea of Ebling Mis appearing on screen makes me giddy. 1 "Things are funny...are comedic, because they mix the real with the absurd." - Buzz Aldrin."P-O-T-A-T-O-E" - Dan Quayle
