There. What you want has happened.

No, I want a cancel move. Not a cancel.

You can bind your own **** to middle mouse and leave the LMB and RMB alone too you know? tongue.png

Move is NOT INHERENT to the RMB. Formation rotation HAS A MOVE COMMAND inherent to it.

That wasn't the case in v278 or v301. If that's the case now then they changed it this patch.

For those interested. I did "draw" a picture.

This will allow you to use the RMB as the move/attack/interact command while LMB performs the select command. The only issue right now is that I cannot use formation rotate (in red) with the rest. As soon as they fix that problem, move will be a moot command and formation rotate will take its place because formation rotate inherently does that.

Then I will just unassign move as a command.

Forget what I was saying then, you're right - Formation Rotate does not work with other commands. That's why I couldn't bind it with cancel.

hence the bug.

getting back to the original discussion:

the lmb and rmb can (almost) be done as rumsteak wants it. It can also be done (almost) as Sensuki wants it.

The other stuff, not so much. Let's talk about the other stuff now.

Yeah I reported the same bug in an earlier patch although I said I couldn't bind cancel with Rotate. Probably the same thing.

Jesus guys we are getting a little vitriolic here.  Like Sensuki I suspect Obsidian has no intention of changing the default application of the mouse buttons.  The rebind is buggy, that sucks, but that's life.  Lets just hope they get it ironed out in time for launch so people can bind it all however they want.

Yeah if they do a solid UI option (and I go for it) or improve the UI somehow, I'll be fine with moving with LMB + RMB, "IE style". If not, I'll just remove LMB moving.

Good stuff!
