September 10, 201411 yr Josh Sawyer said that Pollaxes are supposed to be "best of" Slash/Crush weapons. However they only do slashing damage - the beetles have 30 DT vs Slash and 15 DT vs Crush, so if it was working, the Pollaxe would be doing Crush damage.
September 10, 201411 yr I just meant to report that but you beat me to it. I have a project. It's a tabletop RPG. It's free. It's a work in progress. Find it here: www.brikoleur.com
September 10, 201411 yr Author Greatswords are also supposed to be best of Slash/Pierce but Josh already knows that/has probably fixed it by now.
September 10, 201411 yr Nice find, Sensuki! *** "The words of someone who feels ever more the ent among saplings when playing CRPGs" ***

September 10, 201411 yr Author I'm also pretty sure all implements are supposed to be best of damage types, but Rods and Wands are not set up properly either. That may have changed though.
September 10, 201411 yr Hello, Thanks for the feedback everyone. I have added this issue to our database and will add it to the known issues list as well. Please continue to enjoy the beta and thanks for the support!
September 11, 201411 yr Author I noticed you added Pollaxes to the bug list - but there's also Great Swords, Wands and Rods that don't have a best of property either when they should have.
September 11, 201411 yr Also, it's poleaxe, not pollaxe. Edit: Apparently pollaxe is an acceptable variant spelling. So I guess never mind. Still, pollaxe feels so wrong... Edited September 11, 201411 yr by Headbomb
September 11, 201411 yr Author That's the way Josh Sawyer prefers it spelled, he did a Bachelor in Medieval History or something. Edited September 11, 201411 yr by Sensuki
September 11, 201411 yr The 'poll' in pollaxe comes from the same root as, say 'take a poll.' That comes from Middle English and means 'head.' See also 'poll tax,' a tax levied on all taxpayers equally, i.e., per head. So a pollaxe is an axe for hacking heads, whereas a poleaxe is just an axe on a pole, which is way less cool. Etymology, brah. I have a project. It's a tabletop RPG. It's free. It's a work in progress. Find it here: www.brikoleur.com
September 12, 201411 yr So a pollaxe is an axe for hacking heads, whereas a poleaxe is just an axe on a pole, which is way less cool. except it has a crushing side too. poleaxe looks better. no one wants to use an aluminium pollaxe.
September 12, 201411 yr Axes usually do. I have a project. It's a tabletop RPG. It's free. It's a work in progress. Find it here: www.brikoleur.com

September 13, 201411 yr Author If you put your hand on a log and PJ hits your hand the blunt end, I assure you, your hand will take crushing damage.
